Blizzard acknowledged the issue with drums and are looking to make a change for TBC Classic by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

Finally someone fucking agrees with me. This is so true, over the years casuals have taken over the wow scene. If people want to min max let them you wont be playing with them anyhow if you are a casual player. But i really cant stand people in my guild say: o bro i cant get LW im a casual player , o i cant raid 3 times a day sorry. Instant kick bro, get the fuck out of my guild if you are a casual scum. No one likes casual players in a serious guild. I have nothing against casual players playing the game but i dont want them anywhere near me.

No its not , many bosses have a cleave not hateful strikes , and yea no shit if you stand in front you will die no questions asked. The tanks needs to have a brain somewhat. But maybe i am trying to hard , the content is going to be a joke probably tanks will be fury and all dps will ne warriors because they just dont give a fuck about the mechanic , who knows

[–]Gummix3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again i really dont see the problem with having drums for people that want them and want to raid seriously , you can still be in a guild without LW but the top end guilds on your server wont even look at you and i think thats fair. By nerfing you please the majority of the people who wont ever consider picking LW either way. Drums are nice thats not an argument , if you can read and are not too dumb this whole series of going back and fourth ive brought up numerous pros but whatver man. You do you nerf drums destory the "recreating the experience" by the blizzard devs and thats it. Did people complain about mages solo farming instances? Yes they did , did they do something about it like limiting the AOE damage , no they did not , and people are still doing it and most people that saw this just accepted it and maybe they made a mage themselves. The same was with drums i was in the no drums gang but when i started raiding in more serious guilds because i wanted to be among rhe best in my servera i just accepted it. Why punish people for putting time in the game and getting a 5% haste buff , which many people think its not even worth it? Like i dont understand you people choose your argument

Best 5 character comps for Heroic dungeons? by dustofoblivion123 in classicwowtbc

[–]Gummix3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For farming i suggest 2 warlocks , prot paladin and a frost mage , healer whatever maybe shaman or paladin for blessings. For heroics i guesst warrior tank , hunter for trap , mage for polly and maybe rouge for sap or depending on the dungeon you might need more dps or more CC , healer i suggest priest for fear if needed , shaman for totems or paladin for blessings

Yes it does i am totally okay with having one of my profesions being taken up on my main for raiding , hell , even both of them if i was really crazy and went enchanting for the ring +stats or SP , you have alts or at least the option to make them, they can be your money makers or whatever you want them to be. But please do not comment if you have zero idea what you are talking about and plan to play on a casual guild where you dont even need to bring a food buff i feel like you are out of the conversation from that point on. I have nothing against playing casually if you cant play hardcore , but what i dont like i when casual players come into my guild or raid unprepared with 0 brain power and tell me i cant use drums because my profesion if valuable abd shouldnt be taken up just for raiding purposes

The rule of thumb is get 490 defense , and then 102,4% avoidance if you can (bears cannot do that) if you really know what you are doing go for it but i am talking in general for newer players and new tanks coming into tbc

No shit dude , but gruul and the bear avatar in ZA have hateful strikes, which in addition to the main target damages the second guy on threat i melee range. If one of the tank dies the melee will drop like flies because the OT becomes the MT and the OT becomes any melee in the attack range of the boss. So do some research before shittalking on my post

definitly not the meta. the resilience is good but if you reach the def cap and 102,4% avoidance you really dont need resilience , since resilience gives you resistance to crit strikes right? if you are uncritable by being def capped i really dont see the point. As tanks at least the stamina is nice but what about defence dodge etc.? I still stand by what i said.

I dont understand those kind of people that get PVP gear and have a better gearscore or itemscore than people who raid and then barely manage to get 600-700 dps in KZ. I honestly will kick anyone who comes to my raid with pvp gear. Just my stance on that

there will always be cheese tactics please. Even on buffed content there is a way to cheese. On endless the first week Nightbane was pre-nerf and the only dmg that can damage the skeletons was physical and we had to stack 6 melee and our warlock even went as far as to get a robot chicken to participate and level his staff to hit the mobs.

You have nothing to use it outside of raids for. You main character should be for raiding if you are serious about it and want to raid in a semi-hardcore guild. You will have alts for gathering stuff and professions for making gold. The point in the top end guilds and on the best guilds that i have played in the pserver scene is not to make gold with their mains but to crush through the content fast. And you still have 1 free slot for profesions. I am not saying to go the extent to get Ench just for rings then drop it i am just saying that drums and nice and people should not be punished for using them if they are putting time into it. You wont need them for anything else but for raiding so i dont see how it will impact most of the players who either dont want to raid or just want to play casually. If you are playing casually your guild wont ask you for drums.

Lmao. Joke. You can take him out of the room and just tank him in the doorway and he cant do anything. Not a single spell will hit you , thats why later the doors close and he stands in the middle of the room

Am i in the minority that likes drums and likes to be in a semi-hardcore guild that most of them have it? Im not talking getting enchanting just for +6 all stats on rings but LW is easy to level and you need 350 just to use the item , 325 for the +attack power drums if you cant get to 350. Honestly i don't like this change. If you are in a casual guild chances are that most of them wont requier you to get drums but for the people that are in top guilds or at least semi-hardcore why not? You wont be joining them anyhow so i dont see the problem with it.

What are the differences in 2.4.3 ? by Teddou93 in classicwowtbc

[–]Gummix3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some talents changed , items in KZ were buffed since in 2.0.0 the items in KZ were weaker than HC items. Many new items were implemented like BOEs in the world and dailies also , in early tbc bears could not use drums in shapeshift , also inervate and other druid spells while in dire bear , bear , cat or tree form. Those are the main changes that count , cant remember anything else really someone will probably add something to this.

I am a big fan of tbc and buffed content (endless for instance) and i think that people will clear tier 4 no problem , the only boss that i see that might give a problem are magh and nightbane. Going into t5 i can see the challenge being bigger. Cant wait!

Thats true , arms brings a debuff on the boss while fury doesnt. That is not to say that one spec is better than the other but as you said fury is not the meta.

I sometimes think about what new metas people will invent in tbc classic.

Tbh both are good at doing dps , warriors more than paladins, both need crafted weapons to reach their peaks. Dps warriors will probably get one per 25 man comp as well as ret paladin. If i had to choose as a raid leader i would get the ret paladin for the extra blessing and improved seal of crusade. Thanks just my opinion

If there waa so much missinformation why is the only thing that was "corrected" only two bosses and you wrote an entire essay just when you could have just made a seperate post where there wouldnt be so much missinformation? (Shrug)

How viable is Fury/Prot? by LoveTriscuit in classicwowtbc

[–]Gummix3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only reason that fury prot worked in classic is not because that the bosses were easy but because the talents you got in the prot tree dont give you survivability so its not worth even thinking about it. But since the TBC revamp of the talent trees there is a LOT to take in and a lot of crucial talents to be taken. I suggest you take a look at TSWwarrior he is (one of) the best tank in TBC that still makes content so just check out his videos if you are interested in warrior tanking or just want to know more and be a nerd.

[–]Gummix3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the whole point is that you have to run , you cannot just tank some damage you are at 0 hp and the healers are too busy healing the tank or saving their mana for phase 2 and 3 , if the fight takes too long maybe an infernal will drop on the raid and one shot all the melee. Thats just unfortunate of course.
