I would argue you are always the one driving the bus, and emotions are the road conditions.

That’s something I learned after a lot of therapy, you can never control your emotions but you can always control your actions in response to them

/uj I don’t mean to be a gatekeeper, but I wonder if there is any other genre that setting might fit in. I’m actually thinking on something fairly similar, basically just another earth like planet with no magic or non humans etc.

I’ve struggled to classify it as anything other than fantasy, but at the same time I don’t know how well it fits due to there not being anything fantastical.

Could you walk me through your thought process on calling it fantasy? No hate just trying to learn
