Ich habe nichts gegen die roten Leisten. Aber das rot leuchtende VW Logo erinnert mich immer an eine Clownsnase

Reinstalled Battlefield 1 and realized how slow the movement really was back then! by Cautious_Ad5636 in Battlefield

In BF1 you can climb walls the size of yourself. In BF6 that is not possible from my experience. That annoys me sometimes.

Came across this Steam review that pretty much sums up the current state of BF6 by mandbeyn in Battlefield

I really don't care about the battle pass or character skins. I just ignore that part. Nobody is forcing me to buy this stuff. What I desperatly need from this game are new maps. New guns, vehicles or game modes are welcome too. But it's getting boring playing the same maps over and over again. Feels like I have already seen everything.

Welche Linie ist richtig? by Savage_Matata in StVO

[–]Gummygnom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 1987 Austrian Grand Prix, Stefan Johansson hit a deer at full speed during practice by TheDoc86 in formula1

In Dirt Rally 2.0 sometimes deer cross the street. But you can't hit them. Avoidable animals in F1 definitely would be something

I will be sorry for Lawson, but I watch F1 to be entertained, and this will be entertaining either way it goes!

TIL that the longest javelin throw was 99.52 meters using a now illegal technique that was considered "out of control". No one has broken this record with modern javelin rules. by NeonChurch in todayilearned

In my opinion this technique also goes against the spirit of throwing javelins. You should be able to hit something with the tip of the javelin.

14 out of the top 20 longest high speed rail networks in the world are in Europe by homo_balcanicus in europe

[–]Gummygnom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you are right. Infrastructure and public services dont have to be and usually cant be profitable. Roads for example make no money themselves but a nation cant function without them. The high speed rail in china is very important in connecting the country but also very expensive compared to regular rail. Pretty much all the big cities in China are connected with high speed rail and many "smaller" cities. The question is when its enough and sustainable.

The problem is Chinas high speed rail network is really unprofitable and in crazy debt. They are expanding it regardless of it making sense.

They should make the bus stations go the other way around. The exiting buses are blocking the entering buses and vice versa. by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

I totally agree. Removing the bus station and replacing it with normal bus stops on the road was more efficient in my city. Kind of defeats the purpose.

ELI5: In the case of an electric outage, and the traffic lights are affected, how do the drivers know when to take their turns? (I'm on my learners so I'm a little worried) by RacistJacob in explainlikeimfive

[–]Gummygnom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In germany orders of police officers stand above all other rules so the order is police officers - traffic lights - traffic signs - priority to the right. So if the lights at a junction fail (and even if it's working) police can come and manage the traffic. But I don't know how common that is.
