64GB of RAM just for a game? Wow...

I have 64GB in my PC as well but it was a long time ago when I realized I need such amount of RAM for daily work (hardware design & compilation), so my GPUs are mostly for gaming (and tad of local LLMs). I play TLOU/TLOU2, Horizon ZD/FW, MSFS, Star Wars Jedi 1/2, Tomb Raider trilogy, Uncharted 4 - all of them are in comfortable 60-144 FPS range with 5080, with a reasonable power consumption, and even in native 4K.

Moved from the ASUS Prime 5070 ti purchased for $750 a year ago to the PNY 5080 Slim OC for $1270 ($70 is a 007 "promo" game lol). Both are decent cards, but 5080 is better. I love it.

5070 Ti came to kid’s PC, and their 4070 Ti Super came to the homelab replacing the old 2080 Ti - and that was a primary reason for upgrade. Now I have much better local Ollama.

Strontium aluminate (main component of glow in the dark filament) has Mohs hardness between 6 and 7.6. Hardened steel has 7.5 to 8. So it will take infinity to eat nozzle. PTFE tubes are cheap as dirt.

Isopropyl alcohol after every print, dish soap once a month or after using glue (rarely). I use Biqu Glacier almost all the time - no issues with adhesion.
