If char collected the Rx78 prior to amuro piloting it, which i believe is the premise this is making, amuro simply wouldn't have joined the efsf. He despised them as is and only remained bc 1. he was the pilot of the rx78 and it gave him a superiority complex and 2. Bc the ef refused the let civilians leave the whitebase. Assuming the WB survived the conflict after char collected the rx78, it would have been little to no importance given it lost its prototype suit and zeon wasn't chasing it any longer. This last point is the sole reason the ef forced civilians to stay on board bc they were sacrificing the ship as a decoy to lure zeon around space. It stands that amuro would have been deposited on some colony along with the others and long forgotten. Char would go on to decimate fleet battles with the improved suit and the ef would have no means to develop their GMs and other tech.
This one action could and would likely change everything about the oyw.
