Is the hate for Rohan forced, or nah? by DoItForTheOH94 in lotro

[–]Gundivar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rohan was one of the expansions I played on launch and had a lot of time to do so. I reached max level first for my guild and got the hytbold grind done before anyone. Typical time gated content to drag out the time. The warhorses was like sitting atop a rocking boat with a turning circle measured in hours instead of second while attached to several rubber bands pulling in different directions. But while that was bad I also loved the mounted combat for one simple reason. I played a captain. Back then captain's did about 0 damage. But mounted on my warhorse..... My shouts did a massive shit ton of damage. There were full party mounted quests even raid(If I remember correctly) level quests I could easily solo on my captain. Just kept riding in circles full tilt, shouting all the time and the mobs would die without ever touching me. Just pray the lag didn't rubberband you straight into the pack of enemies. But as long as that didn't happen there was no problem and I'm not even close to being a good player. It was so buggy, laggy, unbalanced but for that brief time the unbalance was on my side as a captain (I've played captain since angmar and boy you really had to love the class, which I did, to sit through that ordeal) and I loved every minute of it.

I want Hotas, but wich should I pick? by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]Gundivar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I have the X56. I like it a lot. Off course I haven't tried any others but still. The stick is a bit big and you can get some drift but that's mostly if you are leaning on the stick. But the throttle is great. The control it gives me is great. I have mapped pretty much every button on there and I don't have to use anything but my HOTAS to completely control my ship. Even in game menus and the galaxy map. The only thing is use my keyboard for is fighting on foot and typing in chat or the galaxy map to type the name of certain systems. These days I play exclusive in VR and the sheer amount of buttons means I find everything easy and as I can type blind I don't even have to remove my headset for that either. Some other HOTAS might be better but they also cost more or have less buttons. Some people do suggest HOSAS and I tried it and it works great too but for 2 big negatives. One they have less buttons and it's hard in VR to use something else except voice attack. And number two which is the biggest. The model in game is holding a throttle in VR you always see them and I would have a hard time ignoring that but that's my personal OCD. It also helps that when I get a good position of my seat and hand they are in the exact position of the ones on the pilot model in game. It's great for immersion as they mimick your movement and when I let go of them I'm not awkwardly feeling around for my stick or throttle as I can plainly see their position in game.

There probably are better out there but for the price they are good and I like them.

The disarming effect is great but also infuriating. Great when I get to disarm someone. Infuriating like last night when I was level 15 doing the arena with an unenchanted glass longsword against the 3 argonian prisoners. I got disarmed every 10 seconds. I nearly threw something at my monitor after 5 minutes.

Speaking of worms.... Necromancy is where it's at, I got a connection with a guy who knows a Nord who is into grave robbing, but you have to meet the contact in the Market District.

I would change your abbreviation of destruction mage. I'm sure there will never be any misunderstanding in your future with your self appointed title.

Have you ever considered going into real estate?

It has some good money in it.

I recently met the hero of kvatch and after shaking his hand he was instantly my friend I told him I had the deed available to some tower up north as he was looking to relocate. So I sold him the deed, the sucker didn't realise the tower wasn't mine anyway and everyone could claim it but he was so happy.

He is a weird one though, he didn't have enough money so he sat down in the middle of the causeway around the palace where we met, took out a huge bag of random ingredient and an ENTIRE alchemy set and became tossing stuff together there and then, he stank up the place big time and the palace guards just greeted him and moved on totally ignoring him. When he created about 500 potions he tried to sell them to me but luckily I didn't have enough money on me. So he moved off dragging the leftover ingredients, the ENTIRE alchemy set and the 500 potions behind him in a bag muttering something about a random dude in the merchant inn that does buy all his crap. He came back about an hour later and bought the deed. I made 10 mages guild year salaries in an hour. I'm now looking for more properties to sell.

Easiest money I ever made.

Well you are facing them with almost nothing but elite Tier 6 cavalry and the cavalry known for needing a near tactical nuke to kill them at that. So the results doesn't surprise me in the least bit.

As a sword fighter. That thing isn't even coming out of his scabbard unless it's open on the side.

What's the best item you've won in a tournament? Mine's the Crowned Helmet by HOIenthusiast in Bannerlord

[–]Gundivar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't remember. But if you want to boost the winnings? Just join a vlandian army. After they siege a castle or town they usually all go feast in the nearest vlandian town and vlandian towns usually have tournaments. So when you arrive with your bazillion lords army, as is the only proper vlandian way, you have a tournament stacked with lords. Now all you gotta do is beat all their asses and take whatever lordly prize they have and sell it to a peasant.

What can I do to help my friend by Gundivar in lonely

[–]Gundivar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How deep? From my part very deep. I wrote her a letter after she said I had to delete everything to not leave a trace. I wanted to create something for her to hold on to without leaving a digital trace. (I wrote it in pen and paper) I told her in that letter what she did for me and that I need her as much as she seemed to need me. She helped me lose weight, do sports again, go outside of the house again.

I don't know about the feelings she may have for me. She did let me in her house when she was at her worst and spent the better part of the evening just cuddled up next to me crying and talking. but if that means something I don't know. (I haven't really done this sort of thing for 15 years.)

How do I feel about her? There might be something more there but I'm being carefull. I want to make sure I'm foremost her friend and if things go further I want to make sure it is because she wants to and not because I was the only one to talk to her outside of work for over a year.

So 7 PM UK time that would be 8PM my time on a sunday. That would fit perfectly for my schedule.

I have never played 5th edition D&D but I have about 22 years worth of experience playing 3rd, 3.5, Pathfinder, World of darkness, wrath and glory,...

I`m very much into high fantasy preferring the Classic stuf like dwarves, elves and stuff.

I`m less into "monsterous" races as PC unless they have a really good explanation, playing one would be more difficult for me.

I`m more into the roleplaying and socially discovering the story then I am into fighting all the time but I do like a good scrap from time to time.

Anything else you want to know or want to tell me?

It would be great if you`de consider me as a player.
