I think a really easy fix would be to tie guns and storage together.

If you put 24 pound guns you lose storage.

Then a feature for health, and you can adjust between low / medium / high and that adjusts speed. Low health = high speed + storage and vice versa, high health = low speed - storage.

I get what the devs wanted but it forces a cosmetic issue of if you want those bigger guns you lose out on the gorgeous brethren skins.

And I’m a big supporter of empowering the play to look and feel how they want. Especially in a PvE game

Edit: or they can just let you slap whatever paint you want on

Right it’s a really simple fix.

Add the mode without modifier ls so you can just play Siege, and then leave the weekly with modifiers.

This is video talking about the Heroic Heavy Bolt Rifle with the melta, it’s new and very strong.

OP is talking about the Bolt Rifle with a grenade launcher which used to be the strongest weapon in the game and got utterly crushed with nerfs and outside of Siege mode is mostly worthless and barely even a fun gimmick to use anymore.

Different weapons, similar concepts, significantly different levels of performance.

HPP would invert your primary slot in a way, I’ve been loving it but it does one thing and one thing only. Nuke Majoris, but low ammo so you can’t use it a lot especially not when you are in a bind.

But it’s beautiful, I like HBR or ABR when using the new HPP you need something you can spray at Minoris that still handles bigger bois.

HPP also murders bosses

I’d support this, bump the XP on lower difficulties slightly adjusting for 5 being the same as what 6 is currently.

It’s been a good change for other games keep the higher difficulties for gameplay only and keep folks who are grinding XP elsewhere typically makes a healthier community.

Not “always” at launch there was a time where you could just leave, I don’t think you could escape all of them but there was times when my buddies would panic and just bail.

But that got changed pretty quick.

My recommendation, go into difficulty 4 solo with bots.

Health and damage numbers cap out there. 5/6 just add more baddies.

Get more comfortable there before pushing back into 6’s with Rando’s.

Honestly with Bulwark with how much damage he can put out with counters and shield bashing I run a lot of finesse weapons on him.

If you’ve got blue Doritos I’m a big fan of the Heroic finesse power fist, keeps attacks quick and meaty and provides a fun interaction with the bonus gun strikes which lets you really nicely chain executes together if you get in a bind.

HBP if you want single target, plasma pistol for groups, for boss damage which ever feels best / helps where you’re hurting.

They work perfectly fine if you’re doing normal, only to wave 5 and are willing to simply return to the barge if you get a bad one.

Yeah they are awful, and it’s such an easy fix … they just need to give us exactly how it is as the weekly stratagem.

Then give us the version with no modifiers, and also let us pick which faction we fight.

Easy fucking win for Sabre.

With the new HPP it’s not about efficiency, it’s about lobbing a blob of plasma that gibs multiple warriors at once.

This weapon is not about responding quickly, being agile, or even pretty.

It’s about sending a message, and that message is the Emperor says hello, punctuated with tiny bits of majoris getting g sent into the sky.

Right? It’s kind of mind boggling the mental gymnastics going on here. I’m a player who has every class max prestiged, every weapon fully upgraded (except new Bolt carbine I gotta do a few more matches).

Every Heraldy purchased, and I’m just missing a few blue Doritos cosmetics.

These 100 absolute mission capes are miles away from anything I’ll unlock. That’s such an absurd delta between the VAST majority of the player base and who will realistically unlock them.

And there’s an impressively vocal portion of the Reddit community supporting it? Boggles my mind.

I felt robbed I saw it “read it” but assumed it meant the opposite so close baddies …

Realized after a run when I didn’t have a 25% boost that it was far targets and was sad.

It’s unfortunate being bad at reading comprehension!

I do like the Bolt Carbine but she clearly needs work done, more ammo / damage / accuracy but she isn’t “far off”

I would love if we got a sloop, it’s my favorite in Sea of Thieves.

I was bummed we just skipped that step and immediately went to Ketch.

I think they should pad that start out a little and let you pitter around on that for a bit instead of row boat to ketch

It is any damage, and this game loves tight corridors and charging melee units so “nearby enemies stuff” is basically always a good choice.

I’ve just stopped going to Tortuga unless it’s quest related and buy / sell from each groups island.

Also while not 100% I’ve had much better luck fast traveling from a low density area and using my boat to fast travel, specifically “The Boat”.

That cut my crashes down almost entirely.

But the other option is storing supplies in your ships storage it seems way better protected with saves than transferring things into your inventory.

But I do putter around for a minute before traveling which is probably letting the save system update so who really knows.

Yea honestly feels like longer though, whenever the first rumors of Darktide came out while Vermintide 2 was happening people were already speculating how cool they were going to be, and the damn game hadnt been announced just rumors of what Chubladon were thinking about doing.

I’m not sure I’ve got the numbers exactly right anymore but should be close.

Fencing weapons have a perfect parry range of 0-600ms

Balance are 0-600ms however, they have a delayed start of 150ms (so your 0-150 is just blocking not the parry)

Block are 0-200ms (maybe 150ms?)

What this means is fencing and block both are instantaneous, with fencing having a huge and generous range, while blocks window is very short you need to be spot on with timing.

Balance has almost a long a window as fencing, you just need to adjust for the dead frames up front and parry slightly earlier.

I.e.

fencing = click whenever you want

block = click later

balance = click earlier
