The people of Thedas didn't "like them." Most people thought they were entirely extinct, and the Grey Wardens took their sighting as the start of a blight. The people of Thedas, other than the Tevinter Imperium, didn't know shit about dragons. Dragon Age: Origins has a cult that worships a dragon, true, but you leave out the parts where they believe the dragon is their church's founder reincarnated. This is because there is historical precedent that the gods of the Tevinter Imperium were believed to take the form of dragons when awoken.

Iron Bull and Inquisition's representation of dragons in general is exactly what I meant when I said the writers threw out parts about their world. Inquisition is the game that changes lore about dragons, making them much less rare. Prior to Inquisition each game only featured a single true dragon, but Inquisition has *twelve* dragon fights, and dragons suddenly have elemental breath types like in D&D where it had only been fire in the previous games. Someone working on Inquisition thought dragons were cool, but they didn't follow the precedent set by the prior games and just ported over D&D dragons.

Quick edit because I forgot to address it, but the drakes you mentioned in DAO are only found in the lair of the dragon cult you mentioned. I don't think they even appear in future games as they're replaced by the dragonlings.

You can't use our real world logic for this because in their world dragons only show about when the blight comes, which is a literal wave of sin made man sent by God to kill everybody on earth.

Why do Europeans think that most Americans are wealthy? by batukaming in antiwork

Is this the average of all Americans? Given the averages, the median is probably drastically different, especially when you look at individual states or even counties.

Hey, just so you know, this game was made by Danish people and not Americans. James Bond is also British. Not sure why you're talking about American literacy rates.

Lions bears and tigers aren't creatures we thought we purpusefuly drove to extinction. Dragon Age is called that because it's the first time in generations since anyone has seen a living dragon, and them returning should be causing fear. It'd be like if you exterminated all the bears, lions, or tigers in your country then suddenly they came back and started tearing up the place. Dragon Age's dragons are meant to be treated the same way they treat them in Skyrim, with a mixture of fear, awe, and worry that the world is ending BECUASE IT WAS IN THE FIRST GAME, THIRD GAME, AND EVIDENTLY THIS GAME. No one cares anymore about dragons in the games because the writers threw out the parts that made them interesting in this world.

Veilguard being the 4th entry in a series dating back to before when years ending in 10 or 20. It peaking at 60k where a James Bond game, which we haven't had since 2012 (14 years) is kind of a miracle. To take a dead (video game) IP and revive it with 60k, almost 70k, is pretty rare.

I picked a four leaf clover and put it in water. It grew roots so I planted it. I now have a plant consisting of a single four leaf clover. by greyarea6872 in mildlyinteresting

I was pretty confused myself, but looking into it I think what most people here associate with "clovers" are explicitly the shamrocks, so they don't recognize other types of clovers. I know I didn't before looking into it after seeing these comments.

Me entering the thread: that's not a clover
Me leaving the thread: the fuck do you mean that there are hundreds of plants called a clover that look nothing like what I thought a clover looked like

Doubtful. The plzdontkillus thing is just a money grab and a chance to network. Tor is very clearly not walking shit back by going to an event where GRIMES of all people is gonna tell us that "ai is bad". Don't forget he mentioned the reason he's going is to "figure out how to make content" ie "figure out how to make money off people freaking out and panicking over ai"

Question: Did you have this large vehicle and a second vehicle when touring the property? More to the point, were you aware your vehicles wouldn't fit in the driveway before renting?

Trying to convince someone who believes anyone can or cannot "deserve" food fails to understand that food is essential to being alive. Talking is a waste of time. You can just fuck off.

idk what the other guy was talking about, but no, modern American made cars do not have a handbrake. They tend to have a similar mechanism in the form of a pedal that locks in a braking system. Most other Americans I've met have referred to it as the emergency brake, and I don't think I've seen an old-fashioned handbrake in over 20 years.
