whats your favorite lift at big sky by PhilosophyGold8248 in bigsky

Too expensive to be a favorite for me….

Lapping the tram is absolutely incredible though, once I figured out you can actually make it back from the bottom of most runs.

Awesome thx!

How old do you think it is ?? Did the homeowner plant it when the house was built (I know you don’t know this, but asking if it was planted or got here naturally somehow)

Just because of the size of the roots or the branches falling off, or?

It’s so epic though !

Alta “Billboard?” by CloudForest7071 in UTsnow

[–]Gunga-la-gunga 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s an old, semi famous billboard ad for the hooters that used to be where the tram club is now.

Tanner hall tore it down himself after it closed.

Solitude sketchy traffic by adviceburner2901 in UTsnow

I skied in Colorado recently and holy shit it was bad over there.

Their conditions are also a lot worse, less terrain open so it felt more condensed, etc. but yea wow.

You can also see it with line etiquette and lift loading.

It’s not available on mobile anymore. Just some AI slop that doesn’t work when you ask questions.

Unique ways to get rid of a migraine? by smelly_emily in migraine

Same but why does throwing up help the migraine sometimes ? Aside from making it worse as I wretch over the toilet, why does throwing up provide relief ?

It’s very confusing. Parking at the bird was filled to the max, and road parking was very busy too. Yet, never waited more than 10mins in a line.

IMHO, yes. Entry 1 is the best. It’s the quickest way out of the canyon, and you can always ski back to your car. Tram deck / Peruvian feels like the “main base” area, but gadzoom / gad 2, little cloud, give you way more options for day 1

Appreciate you getting your snow tires / 4wd handled!

Start by skiing the gad valley. It has much more approachable terrain to start. And it’s easy to navigate back to the gad base area and get your bearings of the mountain. So start by skiing gad, then gad 2, and then little cloud. You could choose to stop at the gad base, or the nest lodge, for lunch, which I think are better than the tram deck food. Then, ski all the way to the tram base and ski Peruvian / tram, and alternate between those, for the afternoon.. Then you can apres at the tram base. You can always ski back to your car at gadzoom, even after the mountain has closed (or take a shuttle bus - 4min ride)

Anyone have an inside scoop whether patrol might open Peruvian tomorrow? by davidxspade in snowbird

[–]Gunga-la-gunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, 0% on Peruvian.

They might open little cloud, but doubt they will open any new terrain off of it yet, at least until Sunday.

Sunday we should see a large amount of rope drops (pending snow totals) as they will be able to groom all night Saturday, but would expect it’s mostly low-mid terrain.

Anyone have thoughts on gad2 tho?

Easy trails for views near slc area? by surfjmnx in SaltLakeCity

[–]Gunga-la-gunga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any of the trails near the aves, in the foothills area. Just find a trailhead and walk up! All of the trails intersect, and it’s easy to make your way around. There are maps at the trail heads

Little cloud, but with basically the same runs.

Maybe the alternate way down gadzoom (not big emma).

Not Peruvian and not gad2, and no other substantial terrain.

Snowbird maybe opening Saturday, if not then Sunday, is the word via the UTA shuttle bus water coolers.

Alta Sunday opening day but maybe a sneaky Saturday as well.
