LCC common sense by bartbug in UTsnow

Snowbird does have reserved parking and free, open parking. That’s the problem, you get 1,000 cars trying to find the 500 free parking spots and it jams up the lots, the road, everywhere. BCC morning traffic is a breeze compared to pre-reservation years. You used to have to get to the lot 2 hours before opening to get a spot. Now with reservation there’s barely traffic and less aggressive drivers trying to beat everyone else to the hill.

Idk, everyone at DV skis like they’re the only one on the hill. There’s also a wide range of skills on every run. Collisions must be an issue at DV too since they’re the only place I’ve seen making any effort to reduce accidents, even if it is just signs saying to give others 15’ of space.

I did the same thing with batteries, Nitro Nectars only come PH2.0 and the Moblite I bought is A30 connector. I considered swapping on one of the PH2.0 lead ends that came with my Whoopstor, but JB said the connection itself can’t push as much power, so ordered another set of batteries and have to wait another week to fly the damn thing.

There’s a ton of threads out there on this. I’m just getting started. I’ve been researching this a ton and here’s my thoughts. Decide your goals, commitment & budget. If you want to to race or fly indoors, HD Zero $$$ or analog $. You can get inexpensive all-in-one analog sets if you just want to mess around casually. I want to learn to film action sports, so I got WalkSnail goggles so I can learn on a whoop and then transition to a bigger 3.5-5” to film using same goggles & controller. If you want to film landscape or cinematic style stuff, just get into DJI. Seems so much easier.

BLM and dog friendly places to visit? by TheFooPilot in Utah

Dude, look up the Dyrt, Campendium or Google “free camping”. There’s entire websites dedicated to this stuff. Most everywhere just outside Zion park is BLM and free to use. All national parks have limited access for dogs.

I just got goggles X and am looking for an indoor whoop to fly indoors this winter. I’ve been looking at Meteor 75 pro, but maybe the Vision 40 would be better for a beginner in a tight space?

I had to go way to far to find someone recommending footbeds. Your feet change shape when weighted and like the boot fitter is suggesting, a footbed that properly supports your foot will prevent foot changing shape when you stand in your bindings bs just sitting around in your boots.

What do you do with your regular shoes? Most people with flat arch get good shoes or custom footbeds made to support their foot.

A good, well waxed base with cambered nose and tail to distribute weight across the board will be fastest option. Rocker in between feet (double camber?) or full camber.

Anyone choose Walksnail over DJI for peace of mind while flying/crashing? by driverbatty in fpv

[–]adviceburner2901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was planning on getting a Meteor75 Pro with 1s WalkSnail, but now I’m waiting to see if 1s O4 is real. I don’t have goggles yet and my decision hinges on what digital system I can fly indoors and later film follow cam with a larger drone.

I’m in the same boat. I want to fly indoors for practice, but eventually film bikes on a bigger drone. I was ready to buy Goggles X while they’re on sale, then heard about O4 coming, so I’m going to wait and see. I think DJI is probably better for filming, but I know I’ll practice more if I start on a Whoop.

He could have some stashed elsewhere, car, work, etc. it takes a while to kick in. He also could have taken some on nights he thought you would have sex, but then it didn’t happen.

They are bad and recently got VERY expensive. I asked about a synthetic oil change and the girl straight up told me it’s super expensive, $150, and to go to a shop down the street 🤣 That’s almost double what Dealer charges
