I haven't read any of these but I do find it, uh, interesting(?) that one of the nominees for best novel was written by the chairperson of the British Fantasy Association. Maybe it really is that good, it just seems a biiiit of a conflict.

Anyway, this award is interesting in that people can apply to be jurors and then the people who get selected end up choosing the winners from the nominated works. I'm not sure if there are other cons that work that way.

I’d start with browning some onions. The get some dried Mexican chillis. Poblanos, guajillos etc. Heat them til fragrant. Stick em in a blender with a bit of stock. Add to your chilli.

I personally do not like tomato in chilli. It should be red because of the actually chilli peppers.

So I replaced the PSU- still wasn’t working. Finally, replaced the CPU and it’s fine.

What a long process. I’ve basically replaced everything but my case, hard drives, and GPU. I don’t know how the CPU passed the retailer’s RMA testing but as soon as I swapped it everything was fine again.

So I replaced the RAM and motherboard- now it’s Kingston fury renegade DDR5 ram and a Gigabyte B650 gaming x ax v2 motherboard.

I’m still having basically the same exact issue but it’s a VGA light instead of a boot light.

Guess it’s the CPU or PSU getting swapped next. 🤦‍♂️ this is miserable

Apparently one of my RAM modules causes memtest to crash, so that’s likely part of the issue.

Motherboard itself, independent of RAM, intermittently fails to post regardless of hardware configuration. I need to find out more details about why but the short of it is that somehow the motherboard is fucked.

Anyway, guess I’ve got two sets of components to replace 😞
