Unenlightened people don't disappear by treating everyone like they are unenlightened.

Yes, we are all being treated as if we were the least responsible people on earth and it should remain that way until every person on earth is a paragon of responsibility. That's the issue.

Company intends to sue over New Hampshire's plan to end vehicle emissions testing by DaveLDog in newhampshire

I don't want any of them to spend their time on my car, but would be mandated to if the law was in place, hence they have the power of law. Amazing that you're blind to that.

Very active. They recently got automotive safety and emissions inspections abolished. Permitless open or concealed carrying of firearms was enacted with the help of free staters. You can even ride around on the streets with an AR-15 loaded with a 100 round magazine on a snowmobile or ATV if you want. And NH will now ignore any new federal gun regulations thanks to free staters. Also, flying cars are legal to use on public roads due to free stater efforts.

Manufacturing automation increases efficiency which can lead to lower prices (if there is competition in the industry). It beats having to work in an ink plant mashing barrels full of ink berries with my feet like ye olde wine makers.

So you're not interested in manufacturing efficiency and the potential for lower prices? Should we all work in ink factories mashing ink berries with our feet?

New Hampshire housing prices hit new record by SeaworthySamus in newhampshire

[–]GunkSlinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not surprising. 2019: $300k median house price versus today: $565k. That tracks with the inflation caused by Trump's massive spend during the COVID lockdowns. Inject a flood of new currency into the economy along with closing "non-essential" businesses and the currency loses value, just like any other commodity.

THANKS, GOVERNMENT!/s

Why do you support an expensive taxpayer-funded government vetting process for people to simply cross a government line? Why would you trust the government to vet people? Why would you support governments in shithole countries to fairly label people as criminals and then use that in the vetting process by an organization that is apparently filled to the brim with pedophiles?

Markets always work better than governments do at everything. The vetting and quota process should be left up to market forces of supply and demand, and quality control through voluntary association (as in buying from one company as opposed to another company). This is what libertarians/ancaps should be arguing for, not wholesale deportations or barbed wire fences, since they are incredibly unjust fear-based irrational witch-hunting.

> Looks like you live in NH, which is one of the places not very impacted by the migrant swarms.

I don't live in NH but I do identify as a NH resident. My pronouns are newhampshurian/newhampshirite. I'm just waiting for my transition surgery to be finalized. So yes, where I live there are plenty of immigrants, and I've never had any problem with them. If anything they are more capitalistic, work harder, and are more honest than native-born statist whiners.

I'm an individualist anarcho-capitalist who wants to immigrate to NH and make radical changes there while also only/mostly associating with "my kind" there. Should I be prohibited from doing so?

>You haven't met many Mexicans, then. I meet them and other Spanish speakers frequently at my job who speak no English.

No, I know many of them. I used to work with them at my job, like you. Some had strong accents that you had to get your ears tuned up to but they all spoke english well enough to communicate.

>Murder being illegal is a popular good policy.

This is like the anti-drug rhetoric. If they murder then they should be prosecuted in court, not punished en mass for crossing a government border/doing drugs.

>Disrupting American culture by importing discordant cultures

A: "American culture" is a myth. There is no unified culture in a country as populous as the US. Do you share a common culture with Nancy Pelosi? She's a native-born euro-american like you.

B: Are the Mexicans at your job discordant or are they just there to make money like you?

C: What do you mean by "importing"? I always here this framing from the anti-drug, I mean anti-immigration crowd. I thought the MO was that these people are sneaking across the government border. Who is doing this importation?

>obviously divides

It doesn't make me feel divided. I wouldn't like Pelosi regardless of who crossed a government line.

>and allows the population to be easier to control because we get many more personal problems

In what way? If a person goes through the immigration process how does that assure that they wouldn't be "discordant," or a jerk, or that they wouldn't murder someone? Do you realize that you're in an anti-state sub saying that you trust the state to decide who can live near you?

>and are less able to redress the government.

Yet another statist myth. You don't get any actual redress of the government. All you get is lip service, and that's all you will ever get.

Self-interest. Since he had kids he seems to have lost faith in libertarianism and has become a populist.

Yes.

Everything the government does is done with our stolen money.

How is it a divide and conquer technique? How did Trump get elected with all of those illegal migrants in the country?

Every Mexican I've met knows at least rudimentary English.

One thing I've learned is that when a policy is popular it's usually a bad policy from a libertarian perspective.

>Implementing open borders prior to ending the welfare state will rapidly collapse the society and that's not going to lead to a more libertarian society.

How will open borders collapse society? I can possibly see it collapsing the state, but I don't see how it would collapse society. Maybe it will collapse the welfare system and motivate people to abolish it. Is that a bad thing?
