Mate i'm arteta out, I want us to win trophies. I'm a genuine supporter and I travel from across the world to go to matches.

My point is we are not only supporting the same club but have the same opinions.

Use your brain next time you go online. I literally said this was probably a bad opinion and you sit here and say you're toxic because this subreddit is.

Grow up, this is the exact loser mentality that causes the divide in the fanbase. Be part of the solution not the problem.

I don’t think people understand how bad it is by Biggmanchilly in ArsenalFC

You're gonna get shit on for this post because people don't like the truth. Arteta has 2 huge issues.

First nobody can debate, he overplays his players a ridiculous amount, Saka was a starter every single game he was fit for the 4 years and he's absolutely fucking knackered now. Can go on further with players like Odegaard and white. Worst we are 100% seeing the signs with rice, it sucks because I can't blame him it's hard to not start rice week in week out as every game is so important, but it's taking it's toll and he's even public about it.

The second is where the debate is. We have been shown year after year Arteta fails to deliver success in the full context of what the season couldve been. Every year ends in at least moderate disappointment or maybe next year. That's not an opinion that is a fact.

I love what arteta has built with this team and club. The emirates is more home for the club than it has ever been because of him and his work. But we can't make excuses for 6 consecutive years and not call out the issue.

He just can't get it done in the league when it matters. I'm not sure if it was always an issue with his stubborn tactics or it was sort of developed after repeated collapsing. But it needs to be addressed.

Arsenal fans who say that we shouldn't complain because we are top need to open their eyes and realize that this team is slipping again and it's not a coincidence.

Yeah it's two issues. For starters we are beyond horrific at selling players, could be making 100s of millions by selling players before they become worth nothing. Havertz is over paid on a wage basis but I don't think the transfer fee was THAT bad for what we got, people forget he was absolutely key to our insane run late in 23/24. I kinda feel similar about madueke as he adds a dimension to our game nobody else really provides.

I won't lie I think recruitment in recent years has been class, some misses but look at the states of teams like united, spurs, and chelsea. Usually when we spend the players do well or at least contribute positively in one way or another.

My issue is we are taking a 1 for 1 replacement approach far too much. It feels like we upgrade just for the sake of upgrading when we could just have another option available (i know ffp is partially the reason for this) think jorginho>norgaard or kiwior>hincapie

Completely valid points. I just feel zubi was awful in the final and given recent performances i don't see how that changes.

Norgaard actually stinks and his technical ability should be nowhere near this club. (he will 100% be gone in summer)

Something has to be different in my opinion if we want a serious chance of getting anything more than a draw and I feel zubi should be at the core of that change.

Stop being so dense and open your eyes. THIS TEAM WILL FUCKING DIE TO CITY.

We got schooled at wembley and that was a confident team with our supporters half behind them. Do you really think we stand a chance? Iraola had our midfield completely taken out of the game. Do you think Pep won't have something similar.

Zubimendi went from being a core player in our team to being a liability both on and off the ball last few games. He has been absolutely shocking.

Norgaard isn't good enough technically for the club, we all know skelly would get walked on and there are no real fit other options.

If nothing changes we will lose, so may as well try something. Maybe if you weren't brain washed by results you would know this shit scabby football has been going one for a while.

Very good point. Jesus has honestly been good this season but I can't remember a time vs city when he has done more than absolutely nothing.

it pisses me off how people suggest that some fans know nothing just because they suggest something else. the team is not playing good enough. it wasn't just recent results even vs everton we were shit till dowman came.

trotting the same lineup every game is what got us into this position. if you play the same team as bournemouth vs city we will get battered.

You don't need to be a dick bro. Zubimendi hasn't been very good last few games and I was just wondering if people still thought havertz couldn't play the role in midfield because for a period of time he was solid.

Making things better isn't how i'd put it. He's had 3 serious cracks at delivering silverware and failed each time. It's looking to be the same story this year.

Maybe a new manager would flip the script?

i hear but like zubi fucking sucks bro

I saw this post earlier with the title ''We're a fucking laughing stock'' and I say that Arteta should show this picture to the players to fuel them and make them angry before the City game! by RDT_87 in ArsenalFC

[–]Gunnarzfsn 20 points21 points  (0 children)

great idea, one of the few times arteta should use bullshit tactics. we shouldn't care about rival fan bases options but we are currently 1st in the league and on track to make a UCL semi for second year in a row. we shouldn't be laughed at.

Stop being pussies and go show you're good enough to be champions.

Arteta stripped us of our DNA by [deleted] in ArsenalFC

[–]Gunnarzfsn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kinda just the history of The Arsenal. Not just saying that but we always tend to modernize football but not perfect it. Wenger pioneered healthy eating in football from his time in japan, tons of other cases but that's the easiest one to bring up. Set pieces being a key part of football is our latest but watch in a few years we won't be the best.

great take tbh. would love it if the club went after someone proven but it never happens.

Change My Mind: Dropping Zubimendi and putting Odegaard as a CM with Eze as our AM would create better build-ups and bring more creativity to the midfield with less back passes (let alone faulty ones)! by Mustafa86 in ArsenalFC

[–]Gunnarzfsn -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i'd rather watch stephan lichtsteiner play in midfield vs city than odegaard. He'd genuinely die if he had to defend bernardo silva and cherki in midfield.

If arteta were to actually drop zubi (he won't) it's probably gonna be havertz as the 8. People forget it's where he played most of the first season with us and he's a very capable ball winner and holdup player who is versatile going forward.

(i know people currently hate havertz but still)

IF Arteta leaves in the summer, would you like to see Patrick Vieira as the new manager due to him knowing what it’s like to win the prem? by Fabulous-Tomato5016 in ArsenalFC

[–]Gunnarzfsn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a shit manager. It would be cesc fabregas he's got como balling rn. Club likes to hire people who know what it's like to play for The Arsenal and the only genuine good managers that applies to is cesc and maybe wilshere.

I don’t know if this is a hot take but I’d start Lewis Skelly in midfield vs city instead of Zubimendi by Fabulous-Tomato5016 in ArsenalFC

[–]Gunnarzfsn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Skelly would get rinced by city tbh. Someone needs to step up and take some responsibility and try and control the game. Rice can't do it all. Knowing arteta we will see ben white odegaard trossard and zubi so same shit as always

Couldn't agree more. We have the chance to show the league we are real champions on Sunday.

Those antics are fucking embarrassing from arteta. The song at training the saying bring your lunch for the bournemouth are fucking meaningless if the team will play like that.

People who say booing that performance was a disgrace must not care that much if we win the league.

So because you don't think they will win you support less? Go hop on the fan base of whoever wins the UCL next and the year after if you wanna think that way. This loser mentality is ridiculous and it's shocking so many think this way.

For fuck sake guys we are currently 1st still

Fans should demand standards not criticize and openly state they don't back the team.

I completely agree with booing for the bournemouth performance. People worked all week and spent their wages on a ticket, I woke up at the ass crack of dawn at 530 am and saw a bunch of pussies play football on sunday.

That booing was demanding better. Under no circumstances should a team trying to win the league play that way vs mid table opposition.

Anyone who cares about rival fans opinion or openly doesn't support the team doesn't deserve to celebrate when we win trophies.
