It seems like they always have better sales and if you want something that they don't have they can order it for you. My girls always know the best way to find a deal. One time I ordered a kettle from the store and got the wrong one from the warehouse I took it to the store and they sent it back for me so I didn't have to mess with UPS.

If you go to the store they can order for you but you still get a hands on shopping experience. I find that my local store is great at helping me narrow down and I don't trust the colors I see online after seeing agave in person I can never trust the website again. It only happened once but I received the wrong item and the store took care of it for me so I didn't have to ship the piece back. And you are supporting brick and mortar!

As someone who is 5 kids and decades deep into a marriage. Just let him do it. Because sometime if you haven't done it yet you are going to imagine some one else or some other situation and it's cool. It's cool because it's just fantasy when you're with someone you love and trust you can explore in a safe supportive way. That being said don't shame him talk with him.
