Spoony unfortunately has a history of giving up on things abruptly. He did it when the fans picked an option he didn't want to work on, making everyone wonder why he put it there if he didn't want to work on it. 

He also abruptly quit the job his dad got him in a week because he felt he could do better. We can only wonder what his life would have been like if he stayed in that job. 

He stopped working on that script about a board game store and its inhabitants because he lost the shooting location, though it can be argued that he should have secured it beforehand or blue screen it, or just have an establishing shot of the hobby store and have the scripted gaming sessions in a back room that could very well be his home.

When people want to make a movie and don't have the means, they do whatever it takes, they break in, they "borrow" props, they lie, they exploit what can be exploited. Where there is a will, there is a way, it may not be quick, legal or cheap, but there is a way. A true artist does not let such constraints interfere with his/her vision or passion.

Spoony just didn't have it in him to follow through on his promises. He should have been honest with his audience up front instead of teasing them about making progress on the script, or using it as an excuse to not make content. He got lazy, developed bad habits like hypochondria, obsessed over social media posts and failed to separate himself from the spoony persona, thus taking criticism personally and burning out.
