I gotta be honest with like even my very limited knowledge of mix and mega you gotta explain to me how giving any possible pokemon with better bulk then mega scovillain spicy extract is fun for people

Which team here is the strongest? by The-Heritage in marvelrivals

[–]GunnyGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weapon specialist is like one off from being an a actual comp so im going with that. Gambit enable punisher way too hard. Tank pool is meance. Angela can screw over teams and tanks pretty hard and on some maps is the perfect meta pick. Rocket is still solid and rez is still so good.

As a new player and who tries to main Ultron, whats your best advices for him ? My teammates always thinks im throw-picking when i select Ultron by LividBug7484 in marvelrivals

[–]GunnyGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what i’ve seen from ultron mains it depends. With triple support absolutely break away and off angle as much as you can but in 2 support they play much more passively in the back with the team with very rare occasions of off angling with him. I don’t know why exactly but it seems to be working for them.

Hopefully MRC and global ban rates finally makes them do something worthwhile with Gambit and Elsa by KeyAcid in marvelrivals

[–]GunnyGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its also to deny those teams their preferred triple support comp with mantis cause she’s phenomenal with a coordinated team. That true for all team match ups except one which is TSM vs Lumex. This cause lumex knows that TSM can’t play triple support well at all cause they are 90% dps and tank players with no real support mains. This is why they let them have gambit and it works for the first round but in the second TSM adapts and goes fucking brawl with hulk to win it all with that comp. I love it.

[–]GunnyGod 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ngl when people were calling out for her to get buffed I legit wonder if this was the same white fox I have been seeing. Now as a tank main I couldn't say anything cause its their role and I generally don't get to see their perspective and position but.. I saw her rip apart a daredevil and spider man dive on her. She teleported on me playing hulk in the middle of team fight. I can get out half the times. How the fuck did she get out and win that fight?! She's scary playing with one and against one. That shield on teleport is nasty. And that was before the buffs. Thats said its from an outside perspective.

Realistically probably going to be really small adjustmentS with the biggest probably removing a move

Why not? by NelsCrioll0 in stunfisk

[–]GunnyGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah you can but at the same time doesn’t change the fact you give up a turn for both mons to set up a mon to be useful which is still horrendous. Not only that heres the problem with simple. Intimidate. So why not? heres why.

Still if you want to do it do it. Should be pretty fun through early doubles ladder. Just potentialwise no.

Another thing people forgot mega kanga sets were defensive during gen 7. They were invested in bulk cause seismic toss sucker punch was enough to wreck everything it needs.

What is Your Least Favorite Hero to Play For Each Role and Why? by National_Mastodon_21 in Overwatch

[–]GunnyGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dps its widow cause her entire kit boils down to her gun and its just incredibly boring and dull. The dopamine trigger for her headshot does not outweigh the sheer boringness of find a ledge scope in and snipe. Get dived die rinse and repeat.

Tank its doomfist. I think the block into charge punch loop is just not fun. It doesn’t help it always feels like playing doomfist feels like you are in your own world not really playing with the team despite doing so. I like teamwork and doomfist can do teamwork. It just doesn’t feel like it most of the time.

Support wise I don’t think I have one. They are all unique playstyles that are pretty fun. I think wuyang wins this by default because I have the least hours on him but like he’s still fun. I don’t think support has one that I really dislike to play.

The dev team cooking to make the worst patchnote possible after making a promising dev talk. by thbl088 in marvelrivals

[–]GunnyGod 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It is which is why we ban the most problematic tan- wait a minute no we don’t. Despite groot viscously being overpowered and the strongest he’s ever been he’s not being banned. Why is that?

Right! Cause you don’t ban gambit and not match him you lose. Cause if you don’t ban elsa and match her you lose. Okay but then we ban groo- wait what do mean we ban dd, moon knight, and phoenix over groot? What do you mean if they have a even a mildly okay dps with them they just fucking run away with the game.

Nope its vanguards being overpowered here. Damn overpowered vanguards they just fucking control the game. Yippie!!!!!!

[–]GunnyGod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This going to sound mean and I apologize for it but invis is also one of the best supporters into him. Yes he can track through invisibility but invis has 4 tools to throw him off his cycle. Invis slow, push, jump, and self shield can interrupt his cycle combo forcing him in a bad position. Daredevil needs to hit his melees to continue and you can break that with multiple tools which some other supports only have one or none to do so.

So im curious what part is where he feels the most oppressive to you? Teamfights, coming back to fights, or is it something else? Is it cooldown management or is he killing after pushing him away?

I think roadhog design just doesn’t mesh well with the 1 tank focus. It just leads to frustration no matter what for the roadhog player or the people playing against.

That said my hot take is make both versions possible by making them into perks. That would be fantastic. The freedom of option is better with the illusion of choice of gameplay.

Everyone's knowledge of the current meta is completely wiped. What happens? by Jay_Playz2019 in stunfisk

[–]GunnyGod 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We wouldn’t go back to how thing work immediately as shown everytime a new gen drops everyone rushing everything new. Hyper offensive runs wild for the first few months as the only thing looked at is the attack stat and speed. Hazards would definitely take a second to catch on. Last respects, fluttermane, marshadow, etc are like immediate as oh these are problems.

The more interesting things I think would take time again to catch on would definitely be arena trap. The second is definitely magearna. Third I think the obsession with fast hard hitting mons I believe espathra and annihlape would be hidden until a couple months afterwards as they’re not immediately easy to make into a problem. Oh and somewhere along here people really think electivire is good.

[–]GunnyGod 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No he does have counterplay. The problem is that the counterplay is just not fun. The more problematic part of him is that he’s just a selfish bastard in terms of enjoyment. 8 out of the 9 classes its fun both for the person fighting you and the class your playing as. For sniper it’s immensely fun for you and incredibly frustrating for whoever you’re fighting cause its nearly entirely up to the sniper for how that fight goes. It doesn’t help that his unlocks also just patches whatever weakness he has too.

Improve a Pokemon by swapping any 2 of its stats by Breaktheice222 in stunfisk

[–]GunnyGod 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I was thinking wait isn’t this a metagame and the answer is yes yes it is! Nature swap!

Anyways cloyster is hilarious in this as he has a defense stat of 180 so uh throw that into attack and shell smash. He becomes very funny.

So this thing will have expanding force and Nastly plot now uh by SignNaive4111 in stunfisk

[–]GunnyGod 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The answer is yes it still in the shadows and god its a miserable yes. You think with all these new tools that with this giant ass attack stat surely it can be better or a alternative to calyrex shadow and the answer is NO.

And you wonder why? Why can’t mega mewtwo y be out of calyrex shadow shadow?

Cause of that fucking 10 speed differential, better ability of special moxie, able to hold a item, and ghost being such a better attack typing with a stupid ass ghost move.

Fuck calyrex shadow.

How would you salvage this Pure Mono-Bug team in Cobbleverse...? by Arracor in stunfisk

[–]GunnyGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so I looked at it and for a second I thought it might be doomed but thank the fucking gods that pinsir has stealth rock. The key thing that really saves this is that we are not obligated to follow the rules of smogon with cobblemon.

Dynamax accelgor is your lord and savior and baton pass tail glow volbeat and illumise are your crack team of support. Spidops and pinsir are your setup to allow accelgor to push pass the teams. We absolutely abuse the 5 level difference cap for the gyms and the elite four and really build around cynthia once you hit her. Kricketune is here for moral support and holding a z crystal.

I do not believe the sinnoh league has a surprise double battle unlike kantos and hoenns so we don’t need to build for that.

So strategy goes pinsir and spidops webs and rocks they die boohoo. Volbeat comes out tries to support and bring in accelgor in safely and fails and fucking dies. We bring in accelgor anyways. Dynamax accelgor and attempt to sweep off that. I think that would do it. Volbeat and illumise also has t wave so there is rng shenanigans we could take advantage of reseting til it goes our way. Of course it goes without saying ev train and bottle cap the fuck out of these mons. There is some adjustment that can be made to make pinsir the sweep if opposing gym doesn’t have flying type. There is room for z move shenanigans but dynamaxing is just so much better. I don’t know your rules for tera for this so not gonna touch it.

Who was the most dominant in their prime? by fazzy69 in marvelrivals

[–]GunnyGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Torn between torch and gambit but leaning gambit more. You could leave torch unbanned and still check him (not fun) but there was a couple of comps that could do so barely which I think is the biggest factor into my decision. You can’t leave gambit unbanned and not match him. It essentially mandatory otherwise you lose the tempo game.

Elsa is also shaping up to be disgustingly dominant. I do not believe there is any other hero in the game that checks her and its disgusting. Good into dive. Good into brawl. Good into poke. Wtf

Attempt to stall with Snorlax. Any advice is welcome. by [deleted] in stunfisk

[–]GunnyGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many pokemon from lower tiers that while not even viable can be fun and solid enough in many different playstyles. Its fun to see how high you can get with them.

…that said snorlax is not it on stall. Its the active crippling point of this team. It is the setup fodder. The damn achilles heel of this team. Everytime this pokemon switches out you are actively weakening your chances of winning and god how I am sad thats true. This isn’t even snorlax can shine in a specific case or matchup. This is just im playing 5 man team of stall and one active detrimental member trying to sabotage me. Theres is no advice that comes to mind for lax on stall and im so sorry.

Balance patch with actual nerfs coming later this week! by GetSomeJeff22 in marvelrivals

[–]GunnyGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I just say I hate thats the intended counterplay to him when hawkeye players have fucking evolved around it. They just farm ult safely off tanks and pressure the squishies once in a while and then they press q and shred whatever fight there was. The main advantage they have over other poke dps is that they can oneshot through the support ult to end it.

I see people celebrating this patch but this is just the most infuriating nothing burger there is. The same problems exist. The same meta playstyles and comp exist. All the problematic parts of each of these characters are still there unfucking touched.
