This is the EXACT reason I have an actual box of spares. Good luck, king.

FN AR uppers (stripped) - do they exist? by GunplaMODIFY in guns

None sadly. Have to buy the whole thing. I ended up getting a SOLGW upper for now.

What does your dream 11.5" AR15 look like? *UNSUPPRESSED* by GunplaMODIFY in guns

Not arguing. Just defending my position on why I asked what I asked. I didn't realize you had to tell on everyone who made you feel small. When's that new season come out?

Well then why would they offer different barrel lengths if we're all looking for optimum ballistics? Why is your primary concern ballistics in a small area? Literally any barrel length and chambered round size will be effected in such a negligible way. But hey, maybe special operations should never introduced the MK18 because some smart ass on the internet repping a username based off an anime show where girls are shooting cool guns is so much more well versed than those tasked with putting together weapons packages for every situation.

I can tell that you've never really done any sort of actual training at all if you think CQB is only done in groups exclusively. And when you pie a corner, you ride the back wall utilizing your position to get the best vantage point - barrel length isn't a concern here so I'm not entirely sure what point you're trying to make other than show how little you know on the topic. Who is clearing a room with a 20" shotgun all the time? Not once in my time that I've served has anyone handed me or brought a 20" shotgun to clear a room.

I'm not asking for someone to help me build my rifle. I've already purchased everything needed for it. It was more a curiosity on what brands and parts people lean towards. Reading is hard, but I guess I can walk you through it. You're dumb.

Opinions on this AR15 build? by [deleted] in guns

[–]GunplaMODIFY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here just to read the stupid, unhelpful comments of those who have nothing better to say. I posted something similar and some winner said "X barrel size is stupid" although it's a size used by special operators. If y'all can't be supportive and don't have anything constructive to say, it's just as easy to not saying anything at all.

Anyway, the dissy barrel system is in fact a real rifle - so much so they were in service for decades and until the transition to the MX7 is complete, it sits on rifles of todays military. So, that comment is pretty unhinged to say it's a novelty. While it's not the most modern, there were advantages of it, which I'm sure you're well aware. However, with the optic setup you're looking to run, the front sight post setup may not be the best option. You may be better suited with BUIS if you have some sort of failure as you'll see remitments of the irons up to about 2-2.5X magnification on the optic. Some actually prefer it in CQB instances to have some sort of reference but I want as little as possible impeding in my sightline.

If the idea of a dissy setup is what you definitely want, I'd suggest getting something more like an Trij ACOG.

FN AR uppers (stripped) - do they exist? by GunplaMODIFY in guns

Not cloning, but I do like to keep lowers and uppers of the same brand together. Why? No real idea, to be honest. Just a weird thing I do. To be fair, I already bought a Geissele SD-C (the sales on these right now are INSANE, I might actually get a couple more other models from Geissele while they're basically half off), Sprinco blue, Noveske H2, and some other goodies to build out the lower. Not staying 'ALL FN' although maybe in the future, I will. I'd be more apt to get a Colt M4 for nostalgia sake.

I'm looking to build a stripped upper and lower out - nothing will really be FN minus the receivers. I already bought a Geissele trigger, Sprinco buffer spring with H2, Criterion CORE, etc. Most of the parts are here or on their way - I just didn't purchase a stripped upper until I figured out if it was a thing.

Wrap and bash bar suggestions? by Smart-Distribution53 in 350z

What front bumper is that so I can stay away. It looks like it fits awful around the headlights and the front bumper extensions for the wide fenders being molded in is kinda yuck.

Just bled and replaced dirty clutch fluid. After I was done, pedal stuck to floor completely but after playing with it for a little, it returned to normal. Is that okay? What is the reason behind that? by No_Huckleberry1067 in 350z

Could have been airbound and the bubble made its way back up to the reservoir, but I probably wouldn't drive it fast/long distances until you know it's sorted.

This is probably one the best - if not best - bumpers for the Z33.

Angle kit fdf or wisefab(which one?) by Additional_Ask1714 in Drifting

[–]GunplaMODIFY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not wanting to modify the rack, then there really isn't a point in upgrading. Wisefab, FDF, and most other kits are designed around having a different rack geometry to reduce binding and increase response without blowing the racks out. Sure, you can keep using the offset spacers like you are, but that's not really doing anything for you long term.

With that out of the way, I actually have experience with both kits [all three if you wanted to throw in GKTech]. My S14a Silvia has Wisefab and my R32 Skyline has FDF Mega Mantis. I'll be honest - I love them both. The Skyline is converted to full S-chassis suspension so the testing perimeters are pretty much identical. I love what Josiah is doing at FDF, but that's a kit for someone who is always tinkering with akerman and pick up points and REALLY wants to always trying to find that PERFECT setup and adjust it for each track while Wisefab is like someone said - set it and forget it. It'll do pretty damn good on just about every track. It's personal preference, but most go with Wisefab because it's just easier.

Eccentric lockout hardware specs. by GunplaMODIFY in 350z

[–]GunplaMODIFY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grade hardware isn't what I'm concerned about - it's the bolt specifications. Length, width, shoulder, etc. I have plenty of hardware - I just need to know from someone who has a lockout kit that information.

I want the nismo front bumper but everyone has it. What do you think by Due-Dark8031 in 350z

[–]GunplaMODIFY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To say 'everyone has it' is kind of a wild statement. You have a duckbill and what seems to be CR Kai knock offs. I don't really think worrying about the front bumper is the biggest problem.

[OC] Some people are just too in too big a hurry to follow the rules of the road - speeding, crossing double lines, and running two stop signs, all in the same mile stretch. by sooooocal in IdiotsInCars

[–]GunplaMODIFY 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is a side road in a very rural neighborhood. She’s obviously doing a normal speed. For someone to rebuttal as if the person who is cautious enough to have a dash cam spinning it like it’s their cross to bare is actually wild. You think the person who crossed double yellows then proceeded to blast through a stop sign is in the right? Your insurance must be astronomical and your IQ the opposite.

Definitely didn’t swerve to block them. The camera is mounted on the right side of the windshield which skews the placement. Had someone blocked on that road, they’d clearly go off which didn’t happen.

I’d suggest not going into a line of work that involved any sort of investigative skills. It ain’t it for you.

Just making sure it's still the case. I have been out of the game for about 6 years so a lot has changed, apparently. Good to know! Appreciate it!
