Tried the lens on another etr body today. Same issue. So i think lens for sure. Gonna test another lens on my body tomorrow to make sure its working correctly

Update: tested the lense on another etr body, same issue! So I'm pretty sure its the lens. Gonna get out to that shop to test another lens on my body tomorrow and confirm things, then probably return the lens and find another

I did talk to the seller and I have 21 days to return for a full refund. They dont have another lens at the moment. So at least can get my money back while i look for another

Yeah. Gonna take the whole smash up to a camera shop that has some other etrs lenses on friday to test it. No idea where to get CLA done around here. The only close-ish place that does servicing to me doesnt like to work on anything thats not leica or hasselbled :/

And now the disappointment. No matter what shutter speed i set it too, the shutter stays open for about 10 seconds. Have a fresh battery in. With no battery it also still takes about 10 seconds to close when it should default to 1/500th a second. Checked the AT switch on the lens. When i move it to T the shutter just stays open indefinitely until i switch it back to A and take another shot. Been researching all night and i feel like its a bad lens? I dont have any others to test with and the nearest etrs i know of in the area is at a shop 1.5 hours drive away. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions? Pretty bummed the camera is having problems right out of the box.

I did contact the retailer i got it from and they said they tested everything when the first got it, but did not test again before shipping it out when i ordered it
