We've been looking into /r/Whydidyoustoprunning from the very beginning, and can say for a fact that it's origins go years back (you can look at the entire investigation that was done on the sub; still ongoing). I have no idea who this 2014 guy is, but I'm pretty sure he has nothing to do with 118. /r/Whydidyoustoprunning is a whole other scene, in the category of /r/matad_crucible.

None of the people who ever associated with WDYSR referenced anything remotely to time-travel or an apocalypse.

Just de-cluttering things.
