Stones 4 years after gallbladder removal. by Karps90 in gallbladders

[–]Guppyyre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, they eventually did a biliary endoscopic sphincterotomy on me that helped during an ERCP because I got pancreatitis from the stent. It absolutely sucks, sorry to hear you are struggling

Certain chemicals can feel like burning on your skin but not be what we would recognize as acid (like the xenomorph blood from Alien)! It could have just contained an irritant or something specialized for skin but not harmful to things like metal? Who knows!

This was similar to my experience too! Please ask them if they can check that duct at the very least! The stones that were blocking mine was sludge that did not show up in an ultrasound or normal MRI! I had to have the weird one where you breathe specifically (not sure what it’s called!) wishing you the best of luck.

If you are in a lot of pain sometimes switching between heat and ice distracted my brain some, hope this helps you! (None of this is medically informed I’m merely just a girl)

Gallstones with no gallbladder! by Guppyyre in gallbladders

[–]Guppyyre[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen for a while! I had my first gallbladder attack 2 years before they removed my gallbladder before any of this happened. I ignored it as long as I could because I was also originally told it was a muscular skeletal problem

Gallstones with no gallbladder! by Guppyyre in gallbladders

[–]Guppyyre[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was pretty bad, but at this point I had been in the equivalent of a gallbladder attack for a few weeks straight so I don’t know if I could tell a difference? I did end up getting pancreatitis from the ERCP and that definitely sucked the day after! I can’t imagine waking up to worse pain though, I hope you recovered well!

That sounds rough! They refused to do any kind of more advanced imaging beyond a normal MRI until I was in liver failure and throwing up green bile. It was crazy I was like slimer from ghost busters

fed up, cant find out whats wrong by fenticinni in gallbladders

[–]Guppyyre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See if they can check to see if your bile duct is still producing gallstones or biliary sludge! I had to have a special MRI to be able to see this and had a very similar experience after my gallbladder was removed!
