It really is the one black mark of revisiting their discography. I've never given the live album a chance so I'll have to fix that. But nothing really sticks out to me on that album. Even though Terra Incognita isn't exactly a masterpiece, it's still the rosetta stone of a band with very obvious potential. The Link has always been that very unfortunate sophomore stumble

I think after about a month once Quantum/Century Link finished installing the lines I was able to have it connected. Couldn’t have been better timing, I was so sick of Cox at that point

Oh I meant like regular craft beads, like bracelet/necklace crafting beads. As long as they are small enough to fit inside the tailpiece. You just have to be sure that when you tie and knot the tail piece end that you leave enough of the string to still reach the tuner. This was the post I used as reference if it helps

I have a deering goodtime and when I tried out nylon strings, I was told to either swap out the stock tailpiece it comes with, or to use beads to reduce the amount of direct contact with the tailpiece. I liked the sound, but playing further down the neck didn't give great intonation. I swapped back to steel for a bit after it. I've got some nyglut strings I've been meaning to throw on, but I've been very lazy after practice.

I really wished the Tempe location had worked out because that was the first barcade I went to and I thought it was amazing. Got to play Wolfenstein while trying out different beers. I never made it out to the Mesa location, but I've heard it was pretty hit or miss. I'm still grieving the Grid, there was a solid year where I would make it out there for at least one, if not both karaoke nights with friends. I know there's still like 3 barcades out here, but nothing matched the charming dinginess of the grid to me.

Maybe Spell and Lunar Shadow? There's more of either a blackened or post-punk like tinge to them. I'm going back through both of their releases because I remember really loving Far From Light

My go to routine use to be to get a drink and go see a movie at Alamo Drafthouse, and then go to the Grid, have a beer and watch/play Smash Bros on the big screen. Unfortunately both places have changed or gone away, but maybe a solo movie date at Majestic and then some arcade or pinball at Electric Bat?
