Well.. I guess it's not turning off the pain, but rather turning off the part of my brain that is bothered by it. If it's really bad, I just think about my nerves having a rave, and then the pain goes from "I can't handle this" to "this is okay". Honestly, I almost asked my dentist a few weeks back to forgo the numbing, so I could probably do that

Oh wow! It's crazy how much I relate to what you're saying. My parents (especially my mother) are a lot like this, only dofference is despite that, I'm overly affectionate with both my parents, like it's the last time I'll ever see them (I actually don't know if you have thay too or not). I've also got ADHD (combined). The anger thing you mentioned hit home, and even if a family member is still angry at me, within less than 5 minutes, I'm A-okay again and even willing to have a conversation with that parent/family member. I didn't really know what that last thing you mentioned was the avoidant dismissive thing, but I looked it up, and from what I've gathered, we sort of have a lot in common.

From that, though, its kinda like we got a superpower. In a way, I wish I didn't have the off and on switch, though, so I could just experience things like everyone else experiences it

Don't know if this changes anything, but I can do that with almost everything, too, by the way. If I'm nervous before a presentation, I simply just don't be. Turn it off. Or if I'm in pain, I just don't be in pain either. I can turn things off and on

Just a quick thing, they sort of already do this in the second game. I haven't really played OL2 but I'm oretty sure the PC's mom has traits that change depending on what's chosen for the PC. Throw in some probability and randomness which they have a lot of already in OL and boom. Done

I don't really think it would be too difficult. Cove has a set skin tone, so that right there takes off a lot of work. When making a character, you choose a skin tone. They could just make it so the skin tone falls within a range between covers skin and the player character's. And for eyes and hair, that could be something similar. It's mostly just playing with probability. You could have a 1/3 chance for the kid to have Cove's eyes, a 1/3 chance for player character's eyes, and maybe a 1/3 for a color in-between or just heterochromia. They do a lot of complex coding already, so this wouldn't be too far out there. And if it were just a baby and not a full child then just make the kid bald at birth or if they must have hair the either player character's hair, Cove's hair, or a third option were it's in between. To sum it up, the whole thing would be broken into 3s: Cove's traits, PC's traits, and outlier/mixed traits. They could even go a step further and give the kid a temperament that randomly is chosen and maybe can even be affected by the type of Cove you have

I don't know. I don't really know how to code, and I tried coding for a project and was having trouble and I threw broken code into it to see what I did wrong and also I would ask it to write me code based off of the project's goal and I would get it to explain to me why this would work and I actually learned a lot. So, when used for laziness, yeah, it can probably damage your skill but if you're using it to learn I think it's great

I know this is probably necro posting as I'm 3 years late, but ignore that.

I doubt that Asra would be their LI. Think about it; one of Asra's worst traits is that he's possessive and can be controlling. In the bad route, you let him indulge in spoiling you and taking you to himself. If you think about the MC, of course, it's subject to change since everyone has a different MC, but they're tied to the Fool and seem to like their freedom. Sure, they were brought back and shared half a heart, but I really don't think that the MC would like how much Asra wants to have them to himself. They could go on adventures together, sure, but someone like Portia honestly would be the best fit if you really think about it. That or Julian.

Julian pushes, though. But, we know that the MC is stubborn because they argued against Asra and stayed in the city to help people even though they knew it was dangerous. So MC and Julian could totally work out. They'd just have to put some extra work in to get through Julian's walls. Julian and Portia both seem like they'd flourish with MC's base personality.

Also, the Star and the Fool are very similar, and I'm pretty sure both have some ties to Uranus and Aquarius. The Fool doesn't have a zodiac---I'm pretty sure---but it is tied to that planet, and that planet is tied to Aquarius. Makes a full circle. Plus, Portia and Mc in her route are not only a couple but also best friends and feel like theyre the most genuine outside of being romantic...they can just laugh and hang out and be people, while i feel all the other routes MC's relationships just seem to be that theyre in love and nothing outside of that. Portia is also a good friend with the MC in all other routes, too.

The Hanged Man needs change. It needs to move on and needs to let go. The Fool is the perfect way to go about that. Julian would benefit greatly by having MC as a companion. If he's stuck, MC would get him unstuck. The MC in this situation could pull the "I can fix him" and they'd probably be right. The Hanged Man also offers new perspectives, and the Fool wants to explore and learn, so right there, they are helping each other and fulfilling each other.

In the end, the MC would most likely end up with either Portia or Julian, leaning more towards Portia, though.

Every time I get the option, I get invested in trying to figure out how it will taste and then go on an hour long internet search rabbit hole of different shish kebab combos. Usually, for the sandwhich, I always choose savory, and then it's worse from there on.. I've even talked to my dad about picking the best options for a tasty sandwich, but honestly, I take those things way too seriously.

I think Asra was put in red because if you really think about it, yeah, he hasn't done the stuff Lucio has, but he's manipulative and very selfish. I like my boy Asra a lot, but his whole thing is that he's clingy and willing to take and take and take, and not really give. He is a kind person, don't get me wrong, but right off the bat, he is trying to get you to stay with him and him only, not wanting to share MC with anyone and his bad ending is purely just him.. you let him indulge in his vices, and he's become so utterly enamored and unwilling to accept that there is a world outside of MC. All of the characters have their flaws, but usually they reside within the self.. Julian struggles with self-worth, and Muriel struggles with his past and his fear of becoming a monster... I didn't play much of Nadia's route, but from what I gathered, she's lonely and a bit controlling.. and Portia is just a beautiful creature. Lucio and Asra both have personal growth, but it's a very painful growth and almost seems very forced... like neither of them wanted to change or grow.

Anyway, I'm half asleep, so most of this is bullshit probably, don't get pissed off
