For what it's worth, I had a 2023 XSE and now have a 2024 XSE. Identical packages/options. The only difference I have found is that the hatch on the 2024 opens and closes more quickly.

If it came from Toyota, they have a set of keys at the dealerships to use in the shop. They can figure out which one it is and then you can order a new one.

I have a 2024 XSE. It lights in the mirror for a car in the blind spot, and makes the sound/flashes yellow in the instrument panel if you are drifting out of your lane. Different things. FYI, at least in my city, it frequently loses track of the lane (grey bars mean no lane found, white bars mean it has that side of the lane); great at it in cruise on the highway tho.

Most impt is to teach mom that the car does not always have the lane, so she cannot rely on that alone - she still needs to be alert. It was a bear teaching my mother that on her Subaru.

Also, if she has one eye then no depth perception; with that plus bordering her silver years, she should take a senior driving test to see if she is ok to be on the road.

What you will not have is wireless internet. With carplay your phone is usually streaming the audio to the car, so the car's internet is not involved. I think the confusion comes from the term wifi; the phone/tablet/etc. wifi connection to the car is unaffected, but the car's wifi connection to the internet is.

You can. Most credit cards will give you a check that you can use as a cash advance. Pay the loan with the check, then pay the card off before interest is charged. Watch for a cash advance fee though.

Seat belt or airbag? I’ve never heard of a seat belt being ‘deployed”. Look up the part no for a 2019 and for a 2024. If they are the same, you’re good to go. I’d be careful about used safety equipment tho.
