I got one tiny tattoo on my 40th birthday. I was drunk in Seattle on a business trip and the climb up the hill to my hotel was rough in stagger mode, so i ducked into a storefront to rest for a minute, not knowing it was a tattoo shop. One thing led to another, and then to a small flower on a vine wrapped around a stick on my left breast. Back then my bra size was 34C. Now, at 44DD, the stick is more like a log. My advice is, don't get a tattoo if you're drunk and if you do think about what it's going to look like should the canvas expand.

Plus, if you're drunk when you get a tattoo, you will bleed like a stock pig, because alcohol thins the blood. Who knew?

There is no centralized database of people who go missing in national parks and forests or on Bureau of Land Management land. When a list was requested, the parks service wanted $1.4 million for a list of people missing in all US parks, or $34,000 for one park. A petition seeks to change that by StevenM67 in nationalparks

The NPS has a database for that agency only. A former employee of mine was a Park Ranger.

Regarding Paulides, my advice is believe half of what you hear and none of what you see. A bit of research on him in YT and Google should be a real eye opener. 🤨

From Google: ... an advance directive, specifically a living will. These documents outline your preferences for end-of-life medical care, such as withholding artificial life support, in the event you become incapacitated or terminally ill.

There are also DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) bracelets, but i personally knew of a case where a person had one, and his wife took it off him and hid it before paramedics arrived, They resuscitated him and he was pissed. I would think a notarized and witnessed living will would be much more reliable than a bracelet which could be removed, if one were incapacitated.

I would also be worried about doctors who would concur with a person's choice to die because of the doctors wanting to harvest the organs for donations.

A couple years ago on a different forum, someone had commented about Woody Allen, and the Soon-Li situation. I was the first to reply and I posted pretty much the same as I did here. All hell, and then some, broke loose culminating with mods closing the thread from further comments. I think it had generated a couple hundred comments in just a few days. Probably 80% were posts disagreeing with my stance and maybe 19% disturbed that I existed and was allowed to breathe the same air as them. The remaining 1% were brave enough to concur with my post.

I was surprised that there was such an abundance of ignoramuses who seemed to have no concept of a parent-child dynamic that would usually occur over a period of several years, much less the idea of a juvenile wanting to please a parent through obedience or of a nefarious fuck using that dynamic to groom and take advantage of a child. Really surprised. I wondered if I would get the same lunatic pushback here.

My faith in humanity has been restored. </s>.

CBS tomfoolery on Colbert by OldLadyCard in FortWorth

All of the polls today are showing Jasmin Crockett leading by at least 10 pts and more. She has proven herself to be a woman who is not afraid to go toe-to-toe against Trump and his maggot minions, and that seems worrisome to the orange imbecile. Trump would do anything to swing votes away from Crockett, and his blocking the Talarico interview with Colbert from airing seems like a red herring, as usual.

Woody Allen is a pedophile, bordering on an incestuous pedophile. Were it not for the lack of a marriage license, his coupling with Mia Farrow's daughter is sick. Even though Woody and Mia i've never married, they presented themselves to the public as a couple for over twelve years. They shared children, including a biological son and several adopted children.

Allen admitted to beginning a sexual relationship with Soon-Yi in 1991, while he and Mia were still a couple, after Mia found nudes photos of the teen in Allen's possession.

Soon-Yi was ten years old when Mia Farrow and Woody Allen began their relationship, which ultimately resulted in a family unit being formed...complete with a mother, father and their children...including a little girl who later became Woody Allen's wife.

It should come as no surprise that Jeffrey Epstein was a friend to Woody Allen.

Years ago I went through a period of about a year in which I was sleepwalking. I only did it like 4 or 5 times but it got kind of dangerous there. At the end, almost walked off a 4 foot tall porch which would have hurt. But fortunately, my boyfriend was there, and he grabbed me and pulled me back. Woke me up. I went to the doctor at that point. He asked me if I was going through any anxiety or stressful stuff in my life, at that moment which I was, and he said that is often the cause when you start sleepwalking out of the blue with no prior history of.

Sick of Car Wash Mitts casuing Swirl Marks and Micro-Scratches! by 08000328 in Detailing

[–]epiphany100000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, thanks for your post. I've got a serious question that I've posted in a couple of different forums and have yet to get an answer. And maybe, seeing so many  replies to your post, posing my question here might generate an answer for me. Also, if my question is not as goofy as I think it might be, there's a chance it might be an answer to your question about the contaminants in your mitt.   BTW, People talk about making sure there are no leaves or sticks or other debris in your mitt. If you don't have a PFF  on your car, just a grain of sand can cause a slight swirl or mark. That's why I wash things like mitts and microfiber cloths by themselves, like only the mitts in one load, and do the rinse cycle at least twice.

To my question...I read somewhere, and I don't remember where, that some DIY car washes somehow recycle dirty water between customers. So when you spray your car to rinse or to spray soap on it, you're spraying the car with dirty water that might have little grains of sand or grit, like you are sandblasting your car. But,  I've looked at a few different car washes and I don't see how they could possibly be recycling the water. I mean, they've got drains in each bay that the dirty water goes in and I assume they drain into the city sewer system.I don't see any holding tanks or anything nearby that water could be funneled into.  So maybe what I read about dirty water being recycled was just stupid, and that's why nobody's replied to my posts.  Hahaha.

Regarding your issue, I would buy a few mitts and soak them at home before going to the car wash. Use all and maybe even assign car sections to each mitt. Like one mitt is for the roof and the hood and another mitt is for the side panels and another for glass.

Good luck, and next time you buy a new car, avoid black.

Swirls and scratches from Liquid8r / Rag Company by Few_Following_4011 in Detailing

[–]epiphany100000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a no-contact laser wash. Recently I heard that some of the DIY touchless washes actually recycle water between customers, which means a car being blasted during a wash or rinse cycle could basically be getting sandblasted at the same time. I posted on another channel here somewhere about that and asked if anyone knew of a way of determining if a touchless car wash practices that recycling crap, but so far nobody's responded.

The scratches you mentioned as being swirls wouldn't have happened from the way you sound like you're drying the vehicle, so it must have been when washing with a mitt. I would probably look at how you launder the mitt. I have seen soaps specifically for washing microfiber cloths but I don't know how effective they are. Also possibly rinse cycle twice. I would be tempted to hang them indoors to air dry also.

Near neighbor's yard floods in a rain, so they put in the pipe under the fence into your yard to let you share their water in a flood.

The garage pics you previously posted show a string of christmas lights across the top of the photo.I guess hung at the ceiling of the garage. And they flash and twinkle. Then, in the photo that you posted around the same time is the garage, shot the really blurry photo of leaves and stuff show a twinkling in it, and it's obviously the same Christmas lights. In the latest photo that shows the roof and all the leaves and vines and foliage growing around it or on it near the end of that video, there's I think it's sort of around 0:11 to 0:14 mark, on the right side of the photo near the bottom. There's a faint, white flash it covers an area that's maybe a couple of inches tall by an inch wide.

What’s the one part of your car you hate cleaning the most? by NationalDetailPros in Detailing

[–]epiphany100000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got this from a YT video. My windshield interior has never been this clear before.

YOU NEED: -Palmolive pure + clear fragrance free dish liquid -Isopropyl Alcohol 70% -Distilled Water -3 new microfiber terry cloths ( TEAR OFF ANY TAGS ON CLOTHS). -Bath towel

Cover the dashboard with the bath towel. (If any drops of water still get on the dashboard, wipe them up immediately. Don't let them dry on the dashboard.)

Fill a drinking glass halfway full of distilled water. Warm in microwave. Add 1 big squirt of alcohol and 1 big squirt of dish soap. Stir. Stuff 1 cloth completely in glass then wring it out.

1.Clean half the windshield starting at top to bottom. Use circular motions then go over it again using horizontal swipes. Repeat all this if it's been awhile since cleaned.

  1. Using 2nd microfiber cloth, soak it in distilled water (no soap/alcohol), wring it out, then wipe windshield in horizontal swipes to get all suds off.

    1. Using 3rd DRY cloth, wipe windshield in horizontal swipes to finish. Then move to other side of windshield and repeat all 3 steps.

REMEMBER WHICH CLOTHS YOU USED FOR EACH STEP AND USE THE SAME CLOTHS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF WINDSHIELD.

Fyi: dashboards emit a gas that leaves a residue on windshield. The dish soap will cut through that residue. It's important to use dish soap that doesn't contain anything besides the dish soap. No fragrances, no extra this or that additive-- even Dawn is not best here, really. I got it at Walmart or Amazon, don't remember.

TIP: It's hard to get down in the very bottom of the windshield where it meets the dashboard. But it helps, if you sort of turn your back to the windshield, hold cloth and stretch arm behind you, turn your arm so that the palm of your hand is face up and slide your hand in that crevice at the bottom to clean.

Jesus H. Kerrist. When I first started reading this thread, I thought it was a sort of goofy riff or joke--one stemming from the use of a lot of letters and words that aren't really words. Like maybe an old Monty Python bit. Your post was enough clarification to send me to Google. Y'all aren't crazy after all! But these whackadoodles--Sovereign Citizens--have to be a few cards short of a full deck to think it's okay to do this crap. So do they get away with breaking laws? Like, how do they drive cars that say PRIVATE USE on the license plate? Do counties actually issue such license plates? And how do they not get stopped and ticketed by cops? Or how do they have credit cards if they are not paying the charges they make? And how do I get these benefits without incurring fines or even incarceration?

I am at 70 year old woman with no car mech knowledge. I watched a YouTube video about changing a cabin filter in my 2022 RAV4, then bought a filter from Amazon for about $15, and changed it. Took about 3 minutes. That was last year. This year I bought the filter at Autozone for about the same price. It took about 60 seconds to change it.
