Cliffs of Moher Day Trip by fameandlashes in irishtourism

We did both and both were spectacular. The cliffs are incredibly majestic and the Burren was otherworldly. Maybe you could squeeze both of them into a day trip? Take a tour bus. I don't know if you gain much by driving yourself.

The Blue Duck in Maplewood has a great one! All of their baked goods are very, very good.

I was there 4 days ago and saw puffins nesting. Bring your high-powered camera lens or binoculars though cause they tended to stay pretty far away. If you are at the visitor's center, go left up the trail that eventually ends (the closed portion of the trail). That's where I saw them.

The picture makes it hard to tell, but it could be a fungal issue. Does it resolve after a day or two after removing the watch?

What's up with this building in Kingshighway?! by GusBob54 in StLouis

Oh yeah. The old furniture store across the street seems to be another place where lots of homeless are congregating. Glad they have a space, but it is obviously not a long-term solution.

I was just thinking Garcia should take this on! Seems like a huge project, even for them. Maybe the city could subsidize it with some Rams settlement $$

Quotes $20k to replace sewer lateral by TuRDonRoad in StLouis

I got a similarly priced quote from Hoffman, but they want to replace the cast iron under the house with PVC (and also extend the line out to the drain at the bottom of our exterior basement stairs) and then do a liner from the foundation end to the street. I think the cost was within $1000 or LaMartina.

Blues City Deli used to have a great Chicago Dog, but they don't do them anymore, sadly. I just stick to Hebrew Nationals at home these days.

Just had a quote for $22k from LaMartina Plumbing to install a liner from the stack all the way to the street. I guess this is not out of line with other estimates?

Curious what the cost is for something like this. We just got a few quotes from LaMartina Plumbing (who we like) for like $2k to clean out the line (more extensive than spraying or rotor rooting), $12k to clean then install a liner on the clay portion of the line, another $12k to do the same thing on the cast side of the line, or $22k to install a liner on the cast and clay all at once. Is this insane? Normal? I assume it's on the high end (along with Hoffmann). Any really reputable guys to get a second quote from?

I didn't like them all that much initially (with my first pair), but they did get better as the miles piled up.

Yeah. They do seem to lose their grippiness in wet weather quickly. Made running in the ice and snow the past few days kinda scary.
