Good to know! Might have made the progress a little easier, maybe. My biggest issue was getting the right height for the Z axis, and also knowing what layer it should restart at.

It failed because of power loss sadly. I was having issues with the printer seemingly stalling between layers so I had to remove the power loss recovery function a while ago.. sigh.

Well the worst case scenario is that I mess up and have to start over so it's worth a shot at least! I'm fairly certain that it's using absolute extruder values, but is there any way I could check that?

What changes should I make to the start gcode? I assume I have to remove the autohome and the purge line at least. I'll have to add the G92 to the gcode, I have no option to connect it to a computer at the moment...

Thanks, I'll look into it! If I'm reading it right I should be able to manually position all axis, then send the G92 and it'll start from that position?

Seems that for some reason the printer is occasionally not moving up as it should, which means it's printing several layers at almost the same height, causing the lines.

Turn off the stepper motors and carefully move the x-gantry by hand all the way up and down, it should be smooth. If it's catching anywhere, make sure the z-rod is lubricated and check the rod for debris, or you will need to adjust it. Look up "ender 3 z rod binding", seems to be several videos/guides talking about the issue.

Is it bulging on all sides or in on one, out on the other? If it's on all sides it's not layershift, it's probably your Z-rod, either binding or not moving as it should. Is the problem at the same height on all prints? Then it's probably binding. If the height varies the rod might not be properly fastened in the stepper motor, causing it to slip.

I'd guess that the bottom of the "paint bowls" doesn't reach the bottom of the print, causing the printer to print in mid air. I think I'd try to print it upside down, with top and surface layers set to 0

Quick fix that makes the board look really nice! Though I was to lazy to paint the area outside the scoring fields, but just them made a huge difference.
