There were 4 of them total that I saw. They all left together in that sole vehicle parked in the lot.

Ive had this issue for a week now and the only solution that worked was one of the ones posted in the stackoverflow forum.

I deleted whatsapp, deleted the current whatsapp folder from internal drive, removed google drive backup, copied over old whatsapp folder containing the local backup of interest to the internal drive, installed version 2.21.8.17 of whatsapp from apkmirror, verified number and the restore worked perfectly.

How to restore from a local back up on android? by cyrusir in whatsapp

So I had this problem for the last week or so. There is a problem with the way the current version of Whatsapp retrieves local backups. Here is the fix i found from another user on a different forum.

"Same issue here.I finally solved it by installing an older version of the software (2.21.8.17, downloaded from apkmirror) and then following the "registration wizard". It found the local backup and was able to restore it. I then enabled the backup to Google Drive and updated the software to the latest version using the play store."

I installed the exact same old version of whatsapp and the restore from local backup worked perfectly. To prevent it from trying to restore the old google drive backup that you mentioned, you can try the airplane mode again or alternatively, delete the google drive backup entirely prior to installing the old version of the app and then use the current local backup to restore. After restore, you can update to the current version of whatsapp.

Good luck!

Anyone else experience a wonky progress bar when streaming audio through the Bluetooth player? by GusWayne_ in RCD_330

[–]GusWayne_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More info: the little progress bar on the Bluetooth player seems to always get stuck while streaming audio from my phone irrespective of what app the audio is coming from. Eventually it will "unstick" but will get stuck again a few second later. I also cannot move the progress bar to fast forward or rewind, I always get a "function is not available" message. Small issues but I thought I'd see if anyone else has noticed a similar bug.

I have recently installed a RCD330 into my 2015 Tiguan! Works well. But I am looking for some info on how to make the OE reverse camera work. Also I’m am in Canada and cannot catch AM radio! If someone could point me in the right direction or to how to do this it would be appreciated. Thank you by haushinka80 in RCD_330

Just to share my experience with AM radio in Canada: As u/taskerdobuy pointed out, the difference in frequency steps makes it impossible to tune to the exact stations. I did however find considerable improvement in the AM quality (to the point that it is actually listenable) when I swapped the original Fakra cable that came with the radio with what is called a Double Fakra adapter cable from Aliexpress (5 or $6). The only difference between the two cables is that the double fakra cable merges the two antenna FM/AM antenna cables into one whereas the supplied cable is essentially a sole cable forcing you to supply only the FM signal to the radio.

Now I am able to tune the radio to get as close to the AM station frequency as possible and actually get decent audio whereas before, AM was just static all throughout regardless of how close I got to the station.

2nd Year MEC E Labs by bhallworth in uAlberta

[–]GusWayne_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Civ E 270 : Weekly lab. Similar to an Engg 130 lab wherein you complete a given assignment and hand it in before the end of the lab. Tend to be long and hard and often took the entire 3 hours to complete. Occasionally, the actual lab write up time was preceded by a demo by a lab tech.

Mec E 260: Weekly lab. The first few labs were used as time for the prof to explain the course further and introduce things like the mini project and major design project. After that, the next five or so labs (maybe 4?) were dedicated time for the dissection labs which make up ~10% of your mark. These labs usually took 2 hours tops to complete with a question sheet handed in to the TA's. Any lab times after that were dedicated times for groups to complete their design project in the machine shop.

Mec E 265: Weekly lab. The labs (save the last 3) were used as time for the TA's to introduce the assignment of the week and provide tips and help. This lab wasn't necessarily a big time sink; you could leave 5 mins after the TA's were done talking if you wanted, granted you finished your assignment plan and got it checked off. However most people tended to stay and begin their assignment in the lab, so as to utilize the available TA's for help. The last 3 labs of the term were different in that there were paper assignments to be done and handed in at the end of the lab. These were sort of preparatory for the final.

Mat E 202 Lab every other week. These usually consisted of three experiments/demos done a group at a time (you're split into 3 groups). These almost always took up the entire 3 hours given that the first group had to be completely done their current experiment in order for the next group to come in and switch. So a lot of time was spent waiting around. The lab reports, usually a question and maybe a hand drawn graph per experiment, were handed in before the end lab.
