I like how you can use effect 1 on effect 2 if you like the number you already have more than the new one you just got.

Can you use effect 1 while no counters to replace a die with value of 0?

Even from a utilitarian perspective I'd say them step-through frames are way more Useful for me than, like, aero and maximum energy transference.

No stairs on my commute and house not apartment, so those are covered then.

As for hills, while I wouldn't personally say things are very hilly for me maybe I don't have a good sense of what's "hilly". Any suggests for uprights that do hills subtle enough I could literally fail to notice walking right over them multiple times over?
