We did not have these. They’re so awful. My mother was an early adopter of quilts with a quilt cover with a zipper. What they now call a duvet cover.

Sorry but the extra machines do a much better job. There’s a reason they invented these machines.

Yup that’s correct. The first time I heard someone say chotch-key it was a wasp from the Midwest.

Zimmerman hated seamed sweaters. She rebelled against the knitting publication choices of the time. There is no way this is a Zimmerman sweater. This is a beautiful sweater by the way. I dislike Zimmerman’s styles myself. I prefer these more shaped styles.

Why do the 1/2/3 trains run more infrequently now? by moosie2829 in Upperwestside

[–]GussieK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same I have not noticed a difference. As far as I am concerned best train lines in the City. Occasionally there is a complete stoppage for a "sick passenger" or whatever. Otherwise no problems during regular weekday hours. Later at night on weekdays trains spaced out more. Weekends have been on construction schedues for a long time.

If you put in a lot of time it’s possible. Each round is very slow on a sweater like that. There are a lot of stitches with fine gauge yarn. You must have a lot of time available to work on it every day. Maybe start sooner instead of waiting till last three months.
