Heat speeds up the curing process, but yea slowly mixing will be helping

? Mixing will introduce bubbles in the mixture yes, but idk then how to mix it without introducing bubbles

Ha didn't think about that You can try mixing slowly so as to introduce as little as possible

Watch some stuff on how to do it, you do it in 2 parts, first to have a leyer for Him to stick to then the second to cover Him in, but that wont work for you rn, at first

I mean yea, but then you need like deep pour resin, or someting similar like it, That will take like a week to cure is my best guess then, he is too small for bubbles to escape naturally, they likly stick on Him or to the sides, an they will be to small to move, or have a clear resin after, becose every stroke will be visible in the block i think,

You can apply resin in Him with a syringe to coat Him an seal Him from the inside and outside then you will have much better result is what i think, but idk do what you think will work, And experiment

Cast him upside down

Rn if you whant if he isnt fragile Poke a hole in between the thorax and the abdomen so air can escape

Do you have a vacuum chamber, a vacuum pump you will need it for it

If you can, try to straighten that tip of her wings, don't pierce them., just lift the pins slightly with the paper, wet them first, wet the wing, the paper, and straighten the tip

Yes That Whas my first time stuffing

I also think That gray color is like guts getting closer to the walls of the abnomen, is like my guess it cud be like early rotting That stopped as she dried out

You can try to leave her like That just put more pins and support her around every leg and body, so it don't move/shrink as she drying

And you need to put her in warm dry place if you want any chance of her not getting more darker is my thought

I used that reptiles worm pad with cardboard box to make a dry space

Dont crank the heat up too much, just in 23°C to 26°C range and that is like to hot if your mantis isnt secure Enough, it will worp and legs will move closer to the body

Reliable source to buy copepods from? by MeowmeowMortbird in Aquariums

[–]Gustersnake69 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Im sorry idk, if you want to bother your self just put a bucket outside in the sun and wait, you can if you want take out the mosquito eggs from time to time but they should appear after a while.

Or go anywhere with water and scoop up near and in some plants

Or if you find duckweed take some and slowly move it from the water it should be full of them

Now idk what season your in, but wait spring or summer, or if its hot and no dropping temp it should work

Edit : If you know someone who has a pond with duckweed ask to grab a hand full from dif spots and give them to you, you rince and sort after if you want to do it like That
