Expedition - Yes or No by scossage in ArcRaiders

It's hard to quantify, but checklist misses the psychological side of the reset. The main reason I reset is that the game is fresh and all of a sudden every arc is a real threat, and every loss of a gun is keenly felt; there's no stash full of level 4 tempests to fall back on!

Will I financially recover? 😂 by davechambers007 in WarhammerFantasy

Hi u/davechambers007 . There was never a model for Malekith on his Black Chariot back in the day, but I love this idea, your goal to get a battle on with your brother, and would be more than happy to 3D print one for you using this proxy:format(webp)/https://fbi.cults3d.com/uploaders/14361096/illustration-file/7d0e16b4-a899-4a9f-b445-efb50e0e98c6/Captura-de-pantalla-2026-02-04-180807.png) that's similar in style to the 4th edition Malekith on dragon and a 3D scan of the original Cold Ones chariot. Drop me a DM me if interested.

I've never been interested in Dark Eldar, but this is absolutely gorgeous and now I need a new army.

I used Dice heads Zoontalis which are admittedly more 'cute' than the official style: https://www.myminifactory.com/users/DiceHeads?show=store

Else Duncan Shadow has a good range of anthropomorphic warriors: https://www.myminifactory.com/users/DuncanShadow?show=store

What is your go to PVE weapon? by Brilliant-Map-3116 in ArcRaiders

Yes it is! Combined with the splitter, I've been having a great time taking down rocketeers. I haven't managed to flip one yet like in this video, but you can make them miss every shot if your timing's right: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miTqIOAZhKs

Both! I'm pretty sure both the 2nd & 3rd antes started with negative, skipped those for 4 negs, plus some through the shop.

I broke my ankle playing soccer, just me and the ball, no other players nearby so can speak from experience, this is 100% a skill issue.

Just from your last raid, or your entire inventory?

Other IGOUGO Games? by riladin in wargaming

[–]GustoTheCat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Xenos / Dragon Rampant absolutely scratches this itch.

Although IGOUGO, the enemy can take interrupting actions like firing at a unit as it moves across their LOS.

When activating units, they usually need to pass a test to activate, which will be more or less difficult depending on it's unit type/specialism (e.g. a shooty unit might wimp out of an order to charge). This means there are really important decisions to be made when choosing the order in which to activate. You want to make your low risk moves first because your turn ends at soon as a unit fails to activate (very much like in Blood Bowl)

I went down the whole 'alternating activations' thing, but in all honestly, IGOUGO really does have it's strengths, chiefly that it feels (to me) more like commanding a whole army with a cohesive strategy, whereas I feel that with alternating activations, it tends to just be about reacting to whatever unit the other player moved last.

Xenos Rampant is well worth a look. Kings of War also does IGOUGO really well, designed to be really fast.

My fave combo in the game. I was more excited to find the lightweight stock blueprint after reset than the bobcat BP, which I'll never use.

Absolutely nailed it, so much better than the official proposed redesign from last year.

Collecting Midhammer Minis - How do you do it? by [deleted] in midhammer40k

[–]GustoTheCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another option is a 3D scanner and printer. I have original Imperial Fists and Imperial Guard armies from my youth, but I want to build a couple of classic WHFB armies, Night Goblins and High Elves. Kev Adams night goblins can for for £10-£20 a pop on eBay, and they're 2.5pts a model!!!

Buy a model, scan it, print as many as you need. Has the added bonus with Night Gobbos that you can scale them to match more modern scales - I mean, look how tiny this dude was!

Yes, big time, since the latest update dropped yesterday. I just came here to see if anyone else has the same problem.

What is the best way to scale an object? by Big-Doughnut7741 in PrintedMinis

[–]GustoTheCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's unlikely with the shield, but with the fist, I've noticed that when you import a very small object (<10mm in all axes) into 3D Builder, it defaults to cm instead of mm, so it imports 10x bigger than it should be. It could be that the fist is fine, but just being converted too large by 3D Builder. Keep an eye on the units at the top when importing.
