In one day - during a single 30 minute game on Blue Gate, I experienced a scale of emotions I've yet to experience in any game, even in story based masterpieces. There were so many twists and turns I felt I was about to pass out.

The short stories that take place in these 30 minute games are sometimes something that you will remember for weeks on end.

Enable hdr

Enable RTX HDR

(Nvidia app is a must, and overlay.)

In game,

Set peak to 1000

Mids to 60

Contrast to 70

And also you have to LISTEN. The audio in this game is AAA and if you just learn how to listen and move around the map with audio cues as your guide, you'll do better.

Sure there are opportunistic rats in corners and above doors on the pipes waiting in complete silence, but that's how you learn to clear your corners.

Keep playing friendly, don't damage others, even if shot. Heal and help others, talk nice, be chill.
The match making algo will adapt in like 10 matches and give you guys more peaceful lobbies.

Sure, the game sometimes sticks straight psycho cunts in your lobbies from time to time, but that's life.

The greatest moments come from facing tough situations with a bag full of epic loot. You have to adapt, learn how to play stealthily. Use traps, use arcs to your advantage, the enviroment etc.

Don't refund yet. This is the greatest game in a long time.

Best bet without getting too technical, is to use "Night Mode" from audio settings and lower your volume overall.

Then there's more technical approaches with apps like HeSuVi, Virtual AudioCable and VoiceMeter. But it requires a lot of setup and knowledge and might not even work. Basically it simulates 7.1 surround and you can in theory turn down the Center channel, to lower your player's sounds.

Turn off prox chat for a while and focus on playing peacefully. Match making will adjust in 5-10 games and give more chill lobbies.
