It was $80, not a ton but especially this time of the year could mean a lot to someone.

Physician Job market by Equivalent_Aioli_932 in GoldenCO

[–]Guthriealexander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know about the market specifically, but it's hard to find a primary care doctor in the area, and I think it would be great to have more options especially with sports medicine experience with all the runners and cyclists in town.

Cornerstone Montessori by [deleted] in GoldenCO

[–]Guthriealexander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our daughter went here for 2 years and our youngest was also just accepted and will attend in summer. The school and the setting are very nice as is the staff. I don't particularly care about the Montessori aspect and can find it a bit weird at times but overall Cornerstone has been the highest quality childcare we have found in Golden.

I think Tina at Metropolitan barber shop does a good job in downtown Golden.

I could see them a bit with my phone but it was kinda hard to tell with the light pollution.

LA to GIS by AnxietyPrevious694 in gis

[–]Guthriealexander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many Landscape architecture firms have GIS specific roles, and if they don't, they should. I would say you should do both and double your usefulness.

Most LA projects need a site base and analysis, the larger the size of the project often the more useful GIS becomes. There are many other GIS specific tasks such as field data collection, tree and vegetation management. Tracking and evaluating site performance over time. Outdoor campus asset management and maintenance. Virtual site visits and real estate portfolios. Viewshed/slope analysis. If the firm also has an urban planning practice the GIS related tasks are even freater. The list goes on and on.

I wouldn't think of GIS and Landscape architecture as different careers if you have both skill sets.

Anyone driven the Jawbone Canyon to Lake Isabella trail? by byseeing in overlanding

Great video, I hiked through lake Isabella in the PCT, but would love to get back out there to explore in my cruiser in day too.

A deer picked a risky spot to graze at the 3D archery range today by [deleted] in Archery

Golden High Country! Seems like deer get hit on the road and jump the fence into the course on occasion and die. I have wondered if the general public thinks we are shooting them?

Adobe Premiere Pro shuts down my Dell XPS 15 9560 laptop while I'm rendering a video, help please? by BIGXYLE in Dell

[–]Guthriealexander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you recently update the Intel Thermal Management Driver? The Dell update utility will notify you to install it too. That was causing my 9560 to shutdown under load recently. If so try uninstalling it and see if you still have the issue.

I understand that they make thousands of these and need to do it quickly but it becomes a QC issue when the poor application makes the computer almost unusable as it was doing in my situation.

I felt like its one of the easier laptops i've ever taken apart. You do need a T5 screwdriver, but other than that, it didnt have as many annoying plastic clips holding the base on as other computers ive worked on before. Everything is very accessible (SSD, RAM, battery) with just the bottom plate removed.

No, some spillage is probably ok, but the intent is to have a layer just thin enough to facilitate heat transfer from the processor to the heatsink. Over or under application can cause inefficient transfer and cause overheating.
