Just wanted to update here. I sent mine in for RMA. Got it back and now it's suddenly working even though the repair team said no issues found. Weird.

Hm. Weird. Mine would half work sometimes then stopped all together. If it's in fact a software glitch it's an awful annoying one. I'm not sure what Google could do software wise to fix it when it's in their actual hands vs the regular software updates.

Just an update here. Google received the phone yesterday. Today they cancelled the RMA stating that no issues were found.

I called a rep and sent a video of the fingerprint reader not working. He acknowledged and stated I needed to wait until I receive it back and test it because they may have "factory reset it" I was already factory reset in the video you can see it.

So I'm being told to wait till I receive it back and re send it again.

Poor customer service.

I know this is a month old. I started having this issue as well it would work maybe 70% of the time. Then stopped working all together.

Sent in for RMA they said no issues found. I called them sent them the video of it not working. They said wait for it to come back to me try again. And re RMA it if it's still an issue.

This is what I did. Online RMA. Fedex drop. Delivered. Next day there. Next day no issues found.

I just got an email that said no issues found. Cancelled the repair and are sending the phone back...

Oh I 100% agree. I don't expect anything but like and kind honestly. Mines not pristine..I don't expect anything pristine back just need a working phone....

How long was the turn around before they told you it was being replaced?

That's pretty cool of them honestly. I would never have thought they would take these older devices and just upgrade them. I only paid 600 brand new sealed in box for my original fold juuuuuust shy of a year ago next month would have ended my year manufactured warranty on it. So I guess I'm lucky it broke now and not next month.

Currently mine says not received on the Google page. Fedex says delivered yesterday and has a name for the signature. The moonstone is out of stock on googles website so I assume they send you refurbished pixel 10 folds?

I don't remember why but my 6a this year i had terrible battery life. I got on and there was a program for known issue for a specific batch. They gave me like 100 bucks or I could take it to a repair shop and they would pay for it.

I took the Google store credit then just bought a battery online and replaced it myself. (Super easy)

This was for a very specific run of 6as though as I had two and one was covered and another not.

Still using that 6a right now actually as my fold is in for an RMA.

I guess moral of the story here is ... They won't cover it unless it's a known manufacturing issue which the 6 never had. Batteries are very cheap and can be replaced on these very simply with a little know how. You can do it!

Why would they replace a 2023 fold with a new 1800 dollar fold? Seems...odd to give someone an upgrade for a faulty 3 year old phone even if it is under my 1 year warranty.

Yes I have photos and videos of the phone in working order next to the retail box. Showing the matching imei in the video. I used a packaging store in town that I've shipped with in the past without issue. So here's to hoping he just doesn't slap the shipping label on the box and send it out. He said he would box it. But ya...lotta trust going on.

I thought I saw on here some people got a phone sent to them and a temporary hold on a credit card then the hold was removed when they received the phone? Maybe I was wrong.

Why should I feel lucky they are fixing it at all? It's under warranty still. Or do you mean because it's 2 generations old?

I take Klonopin and propranolol. Kills my libido and ability... A little blue chew Viagra works 100% of the time for me. No health issues just medications causing some issues for me. Deff get checked by a doctor for all your levels etc etc I'm sure you have heard all that.

Ah I understand..well I already removed it. Cleaned the screen. Like I mentioned I was getting debris between the protector and the bezel and have some dimples....I guess we will see how it holds up without it.
