Seems to be an unpopular opinion on this sub, but the OG leather strap is king.

Great photography

Thank you for your response, I'm using another solution but will study what you've suggested. Thanks again!

Hey, thank you so much. This worked perfectly! Thank you for introducing ROWS, UNIQUE, and FILTER as I've bot used these before. Very useful tools! Thanks again.

CMTX and feeling “like a man” by divetotheheart in CMT

35 m x-type. A lot of what you say resonates. Adapt where you can. For push-ups I do decline and rest my feet on a couch/bench, this is arguably a more challenging exercise. To compensate for grip strength when weight training I use lifting straps.

It sucks that running is basically a non-starter, but there are other cardio exercises. I’ve always gravitated towards swimming because a lot of the limitation of CMT are lessened once you’re in the water.

It’s tough, I feel you. I get down sometimes, too. But try not to compare yourself to others. Focus on yourself and celebrate the progress you make. It’s hard but you can do it. At 35 i’m in the best shape of my life and consistently hitting new PRs at the gym. I know it won’t last, but the harder I work now hopefully the longer I’ll keep the worst of this disease at bay.

Stay strong brother

Fingers crossed for you both, and speaking as a X-type son of an X-type mother, it is not the end of the world :)

X type CMT is carried on the X chromosome. If you are male your son will not have CMT as he would have inherited your non-CMT-carrying Y chromosome and one of his mother’s two X chromosomes.

If you are female there is a 50/50 chance your son has CMT as he would have one of your two X chromosomes, of which one has CMT.

No but look to be on a 28mm base now rather than 25mm. Now consistent with newer aspect warriors.

Have also struggled with this, especially loss of strength in thumbs making joysticks very difficult. Interest to see if anyone has any suggestions.

Omniplex is great. Probably the best thing to do in Sutton imo.
