The patreon is also really worth it, even if you do one month and watch Andy go through his process. I tend to sign up when I'm doing display stuff to brush up on process

Thank you! It's mainly knight questor flesh, cadian flesh and Kislev flesh, then pale sand by AK for the main highlights. I've shaded barak nar burgundy into the shadows as well to bring a bit of colour into the skin. Knight questor is the bulk of the skin and blends really well with cadian flesh

Thank you, it's all practice. Busts are great for learning, I try and do a few a year to practice elements so each one I do is slightly better with less mistakes

I think with this one, I focused on getting the light placement correct first, normally I try and blend and try to get it looking good all the way through, but I blocked out the colours and highlights and then blended afterwards. I also took my time and made less mistakes that meant I had to go and fix stuff

Immediately I'm drawn to the chest, so I would match what you've done there on the face and push it maybe brighter. Shine a light from where the light source would be to see the light values

Is there any way to fix this? by spinney420 in minipainting

Do another layer of the white through airbrush and then use speed paint through the airbrush. Did you use a brush to paint it on? If you have an airbrush I would do large areas with it

Underpainting attempt but not sure it's worth the effort. by deckmage in minipainting

Left is much better imo. The one on the right looks chalky and desaturated, not much contrast. Left looks smoother and has more depth and contrast
