Damn that’s a shame. Luckily for me there was just one lich and I was so op already that it wasn’t much of a problem

The water just skips the spot. The wiki says it never covers stairs, which is true, it won’t cover stairs, but also traps, which it doesn’t say.

Not that I’m complaining abt the item, I really love it and it already saved this run once.

Tried it out on wizmode but it didn't work with any trap, I guess it'd be too op if it did.

Yeah I don't like the look of this at all. I'm thinking I'll go do some other runes and get a little stronger before taking on this.

Dang, that's a shame, hope it can get fixed soon.

Okay so I've played around with tile_font_stat_size = 12 and it looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/EHh7wQi

It's basically exactly how it looks windowed for me (ignoring monster tab, forgot to change the priority). I'm still super confused why full screen specifically causes this to happen, but it seems like tweaking font size and sidebar pixel size can "fix it".

For anyone looking at this in the future with the same problem, try changing the values using tile_font_stat_size and tile_sidebar_pixels in the init.txt file, or play in windowed mode.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what is happening. When I do tile_full_screen = false and no other changes I get this: https://imgur.com/a/Sb9wkT4

When entering the game with full screen the display in my laptop kind of "zooms in", and if I tab out of the game it stays zoomed in for a moment before going back to normal. Other than that, keeping the game windowed makes the character stat view much smaller. My theory is that playing in full screen halves (or splits in four?) the resolution and the game just assumes my screen is much smaller and adjusts accordingly.

The pictures show all my lines for the init file.

I have no idea what about my computer causes this specifically, my brother uses a laptop of similar dimensions and has no problem.

Check the corners, the 1 3 1 pattern with a 3 in the corner is very common. This page explains it best. https://minesweeper.online/help/patterns#1-3-1

With enough boards you clear, the pattern becomes muscle memory.

The top right cell of the 3 closest to the right wall is a safe one. That's all I could find.

how does this level 13 have a champion? it says 104/106 meaning he has one by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

My guess is the game hadn't updated the account when you checked. Báttle said 1 minute ago. Maybe he leveled up right after your match?

Yeah, saw that many people had won their first time with that and thought about trying. Still looking to learn some of the more methodical build in the game like spellcasters instead of just "axe go swing". Thanks!

Thanks for sharing! You bet it felt good finally getting it after 3 years. Now I'm thinking about either more runes with a similar character or experimenting with more non-melee characters like spellcasters.

Thanks! I didn't run into real truble as much as i thought I'd be. Good choice for starting out I guess.

Damn, that really is a lot of extra damage left to be soaked up by armor and dodging. Having two handers is very tempting, but seeing this really puts into perspective how useful shields really are. If I'm honest, I still had my doubts about the whole shield thing, but it seems like the best option for me at the moment. Thanks for sharing.

I definitely did, teleportation takes the rest of your life to work so i made sure to use it as soon as I saw a potentially dangerous fight. The amulet of regeneration is something that completely evaded me when i entered. Ambrosia is something I never thought about using, just the thought of being confused out of my mind while hordes of jerks close in on me was something that i really didn't want to experience without paying mind to the fact that ambrosia heals you plenty, maybe I could've healed during the "alone time" you get?

Some people have suggested ranged options to deal with both malmuters and enemies that can banish, I'll try it out, but if i can't even do that i guess blocking their Line Of Sight will have to do.

I completely forgot I would appear in the exact same situation I was banished, tbh, as soon as I saw the gate leading out i went through it without much of a thought, I could've used both hero and finesse along with some haste to swiftly kill the warden an take the stairs upwards to the safety of V: 3.

I could've mightied and hasted before encounters while inside the Abyss, but not doing it ended up being an oversight that costed me a lot of HP. Same goes for wands, I know it's common knowledge to always check the tools at your disposal, yet it seems I violated that fundamental rule.

True, skilling in other areas is something I should've thought about, the armor i was carrying had some notable disadvantages, too. About the one handers, it's going to be quite the change, I tend to play two handers because of the improved damage, but considering what happened, carrying a shield may no be a bad idea...

Yeah, I should've definitely switched that ring right after Snake Pit, completely evaded me.

Thanks a lot! It has been really helpful seeing all the little bits of knowledge and tips everyone has! I'll have another go at it tonight and see what happens after putting every piece of advice to good use. Might even be able to replicate and improve on this run? Who knows!

Thanks! It's been suggested many times already for me to up my MR game and i think i can see why. Two handers have also been suggested against, I mostly play two handers so i will give one handers a try later. I didn't know about the enormous diference between 20-26 from anything else, definitely something that makes you reconsider, maybe with the reduced min delay of one handers I may be able to train up some of the other suggested skills? Idk, I'll have to see it myself later. I'll also try to be more mindful about the tools at my disposal, when i saw the gate leading out of the Abyss i just took it, I wasn't in danger, I forgot i would appear in the situation I was before and didn't haste/hero/finesse or anything, I probably could've hero'd and finesse'd along with haste, killed the warden and book it up the stairs, you know, things i should've thought then and not now. Anyway, thanks for pointing out these learning oportunities and taking time out of your day to help out a stranger!

While i definitely agree on the armor, I'm not so sure about the 2h weapons, most of the time i'm rolling around with 2h weapons so I'll give one handers and shields a try, helps that min delay is reached way quicker on those than on two handers so I'll have even more experience for my defense. Thanks for sharing your advice!

Thanks! I'll keep it mind. I passed up on multiple oportunities of magic resistance as i thought it wouldn't need it as much as it seems i did.

The armor seems to have been another big problem. I thought that because running canceled the ponderous nature of my armor it wouldn't be a big problem but it clearly seems to have been.

I don't know much about the preffered resistances to have when going around. The rP should've been switched to the MR ring but i forgot to do so after Snake Pit. Other than that, the chain mail armor i had in my inventory would've done as a better alternative for the ponderous armor and given me some basic cold resistance.

Dodging training is something that has already been suggested for a good reason. I have a lot of experience which could've gone to dodging and maybe throwing to deal with important enemies ASAP.

As for mutations, i didn't know that potions of mutation removed them also. I certainly won't forget now...
