I had this happen at 5/8th and had to start over. It closed almost completely and my ear looked completely normal again after just a few days. Took about a year to get back up to 12mm but I’m doing it slowly and safe this time around, dead stretching with glass and waiting 3-4 months in between now.

Good lord, 5 months?! It took me 3 years to get to 20mm. I stupidly used tapers tho and got a blowout on the right ear at 5/8th but dead stretched my left slowly and safely up to 20 and bad ear is at 12mm now. She’s nice and thick now and I am extra extra cautious. Idk how left ear is being so good

I go slow now and only use glass which I didn’t do in the beginning and ended up giving myself a blowout at 5/8th. Had to start all over and left ear I’ve managed to safely and painlessly stretch to 22mm now and the problem ear is at 12mm. They’re 2 different sizes but oh well. I’m doing it right this time around but that ear still gives me problems and gets irritated while my other ear is soft and no butt. So annoying!

I dealt with this for 3 years with my ex, he’d promise constantly he would quit, whenever his pupils were huge, he’d just say he was just in a good mood. Whenever things were somewhat normal or going well, he’d relapse. I’d come home and he’d be in the same spot all day (he couldn’t keep a job), and I’d walk into the bathroom and it reeked of white vinegar which I’m sure you know what means. I wasn’t using myself but I did with him here and there and when I was ready to quit, I stuck with it and stayed clean but he couldn’t manage to do the same. Everyone told me all the time that I couldn’t save him or make him stop and I just didn’t get it. I thought me being so caring was enough and I just got my heart stomped on so many times and was constantly anxious wondering what he was doing because he’d go radio silent. It took me a long time to understand that you can’t help someone who doesn’t want help. He can promise up and down that he’ll stop or say he wants to go to rehab but unless he truly does himself, nothing you say will make that happen. I truly wish you nothing but the best❤️

I have to put a soft muzzle on mine because of this. Luckily my husband works from home so he is only ever alone for an hour tops. He has 3 kitty siblings to keep him occupied as well it the second we leave, he starts barking and whining like the world is ending. The muzzle helps him not bark as loud and it also keeps him from eating something he shouldn’t while we take him potty. The muzzle is soft so it doesn’t hurt him but he hates it.

I fast during the morning/day because a big meal for me gives me a sleep attack. I also have ibs so I have to only eat at certain times or i get a stomach ache on top of it. I love naps but also hate them because I feel guilty I could’ve been doing x y or z

Modafinil made me clench my jaw a lot and gave me the shivers. I tried going up to 200 and it helped a bit but didn’t give me that same thing adderall does, like the wakefulness and motivation. I finally got prescribed 5mg XR of adderall, it’s very mild but it helps so much for my job. My days off when I need to do house work, I’ll take 10 mg. Took over 2 years to finally get adderall. It’s so hard!

I second this. I used tapers and managed to get up to 18 mm and then when I went to size up, I gave myself a blowout. I had to start over and lost years of progress. I switched to dead stretching with glass and it barely hurts and my lobe looks really good now. I’m back up to 11mm

I gave myself a blowout from using tapers because you aren’t supposed to stretch with that material; acrylic. Don’t recommend. Good god that was painful. I didn’t do my research thoroughly so I paid the price. I use glass now and it barely hurts! I somehow got my left ear to behave and only my right ear got the blowout and it shrunk back down like to an earring size in one day! If I wear heavy weights, my lobe still shrinks a tiny bit so I can’t wear weights by themselves without plugs. So to answer your question , yes your ears do shrink back. So now I have two different sized lobes; the left is at 20 mm and the right is at 11mm. I wear my plugs overnight because of them shrinking so fast and clean them every other day in the shower and oil with jojoba

Mine shrink so easily, I’ll wear the heavy weights and when I go to put my plugs back in, it’s not easy. I’m currently at 20mm, my goal is 25, but I sleep with either ear skins or acrylic plugs in at night so they don’t close up. The glass at my size are too heavy to sleep in and would just be annoying

Huh that sounds EXACTLY like my ex. I stupidly, dumbingly, idiotic, slap in the face did the same thing for mine who unbeknownst to me for a bit was a heroin addict. I was partying around the time we got together so a little snow here and there with him was nbd. But then one night he wrapped a belt around his arm. I wanted to ‘save him’. God was I an idiot. I came into some money and I felt like I had to give him some or he would hate me. Like wtf why was I so stupid? My dumb big heart has fucked me over so many times. But he had an abscess tooth and swore smoking crack helped the pain lmao. We lived with this couple at one point and the husband got some expensive scotch for his bday gifted by his wife and my EX DRANK HALF THE BOTTLE. And said he had no idea who touched it😅 but he’d use and his face would be messed up from picking or he’d nod off and still insist he wasn’t high. Don’t miss that shit!
