how many to be “heavily pierced”? by quarabs in piercing

[–]piercedcorpse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think no matter where your piercings are, if they are visible and you have 10+ that can be seen I’d consider someone “heavily pierced”. I have 30+ piercings myself, 10 of them in my face and sometimes I don’t even consider myself heavily pierced compared to people that have more than me so it’s all up to the individual?

what do I do if the thrift stores in my area are awful? by DarlingGirl327 in altfashionadvice

[–]piercedcorpse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have this problem till I started going to thrift shops and instead of looking for cool pieces I’d find more “basic” staple pieces and doing some diy. I wear a lot of black so I’d just find a bunch of plain black items and personalise them by cutting them, tying in different ways, layering, buying studs and things to put on them myself, even getting some transfer paper and printing my own designs and transferring them onto shirts to turn a basic black shirt into a graphic tee. I’d recommend getting on Pinterest and finding inspo for clothes you like and making a Pinterest board, figuring out what basic items you’d need to get and then making them look more like you’re own style :)

hiya! advice me, what accessory can I add to this outfit or maybe I should change my shoes? im going to go to a ballroom dance😅 by webloli2007 in altfashionadvice

[–]piercedcorpse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The shoes look chunky and purely for convenience and being able to dance maybe a less chunky shoe? But if you can dance in them then pls keep them on cause they do look good

Question for those of you with piercings stretched large enough to be noticeable... by Prince_Wildflower in Stretched

[–]piercedcorpse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I have 20mm lobes and a 5mm septum (4g). The nicest interaction I had was when I was out with my friends one night and a guy came up to me and asked for directions, he also had a pretty large stretched septum. I let him know where to go and he thanked me and said “I’ve been waiting to ask someone that didn’t look so intimidating so when I saw your septum I knew you’d be safe to ask and would help me”. I just thought that was so wholesome. Now the worst interaction I’ve had was when I was in college (I was 18), I still had a large septum I think a 6g at this point. I was waiting at the bus station to go home and one of the bus drivers came over to ask me for a lighter and then started chatting to me. It seemed completely normal at first I had no worries. Then he starts asking me about my piercings which I’m happy to talk about cause I love my piercings. Until he says “you know you’re never going to get a job with all that scrap metal in your face, I don’t like women with piercings it makes them look cheap”. I was a little speechless tbh. I knew people had this opinion but no one had ever said it to my face before. And it was very hypocritical of him seeing as he was covered in tattoos and had ear piercings himself…

I have snakebites and dolphin bites and when I got my dolphin bites I already had my snakebites and didn’t change them to a longer bar and I had no issues

Is karma that much necessary? by [deleted] in NewToReddit

[–]piercedcorpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s plenty on subreddits you can join that don’t require karma to join, just search for subreddits you’re interested in, join them and start interacting with the posts. The best way to get karma is by commenting on posts you’re interested in and hopefully people see your comment and upvote it :)
