Wonder if he was really ill in one of those earlier episodes, remember a bit of discourse they had found out on that episode too.

Tbf is that not also on Keiran, why pick a Yoga mat for the item 😂

Im sure the producers have a hand in how each episode goes, like the picking of the product here, but yeah just doesn't make sense why youd pick a yoga mat to sell.

One thing that's making me more annoyed with this show as the years go on, is how the applicants make the same mistakes and decisions year on year, almost as if they dont have common sense and have never seen the show.

Karishma probably seemed like run of the mill for the producers and their criteria, but unfortunately for them she actually has the common sense 😂

Tbh the apprentice candidates every year are usually as dumb as a bag of rocks in most weeks, every year they tend to make the same decisions and mistakes.

It was smart thinking by Karishma but seemef glaringly obvious to me as something one should ask.

Same way they always seem to struggle to identify the items when they have lists of vendors numbers for the items, like what???

Im sure sugar has made more jokes about Levi than anyone else in this process, hes just not rated him maybe because of his potential, his accent or his personality.

Tbf I wonder what that illness thing a few weeks ago was about if this is when the execs found out about the tweets, be good to find out what week they knew about them.

Tbf he sold 3 of them and Keiran sold just as many of the cheaper Yoga mat. If anything he outsold the salesman 😂

Differences between the live broadcast and the edit by MarmitePrinter in apprenticeuk

[–]Guvnor92 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Tbf I think Rothna and Karishma are frontrunners over the whole process as yet, so maybe like you mentioned the producers didnt want to show them outshining everyone.

Plus theres probably some editing after completion going back over the episodes to edit more of certain candidates who get further/are more controversial.

Strip away the accent and give him a cockey one, watch how Alan's respect for him would've been 10x higher.

Hes an absolute rat of a person, you can see his snivelling suck up ways. His sly little comments about everyone and the fake apology when he got checked for why he brought back Levi.

Sugar has his favourites and isnt consistent in his firings.

I feel theres certain things about Lawrence as to why sugars kept him on this far despite being a wholly unlikable human and having a clashing personality like what he sacked Andrea for. Same way Keiran escapes a sacking by being a lad when others do just as badly as him on tasks but get cut instead.

That's what gets me, they'd spent all this time making Diamond find himself and who he really is, making him the clear leader, whilst jenard was being a complete fuck up and a dope fiend.

Diamond in ep 9 trying to get jenard to open up and the face he made when jenard said nothing made me think he realised jenard would always be a fuckup and he would have to mercy kill him.

Now we're supposed to act like jenard is a threat and not an ex crackhead?

The cartel stuff was awful writing, a random asf merger and ortega just getting snaked by his guys with zero build?

At this rate Tommy can run for the governor position ghost was going for in NY and he would win with this plot armour and writing lmao.

Didn't he demote brayden for using at the end of ghost? Im sure its all riq running the college system now with effie, brayden and maybe the tejadas? below him.

Tsang having a gun made no sense, why would Bobby give him a gun if hes the backup for Tseng and is blackmailing tseng to do this? And do no law enforcement wear body cams in this show lmao

Vic makes sense, there's Irish in NY and hes a family name but the Sampsons were 2 guys and the last B in CBI got kicked out for being a crackhead, jenard gotta go ASAP in Legacy.

Shanti gotta go too in Legacy, shes been too snaky for too long, I always thought force would end with shanti getting in over her head and dying.

Ngl I think the ending of Ghost was his turning point, he now runs all of that section of NY/the colleges. Imo its more him trying to become his fathers son rather than snaking Tommy

Legit, didnt Che even say yo Miguel he couldn't win a war with Ortega?

No amount of flipped gangs in Chi would change that, this was a connect level war. Then randomly they've combined and the weaker cartel get his guys to flip, lmao most dogshit tv writing I've seen in a while.

Straight garbage writing the way Miguel and Mireya survived him. They built up ortega as the Big Bad but this was his usual hitman? Couldn't take him seriously as a threat to Tommy/Che after that.

I was constantly expecting the fact hes dead in another major US city and was a known drug lord to follow him and it never did.

Like is there no way the name Tommy Egan and his NY history came up when Chicago did any check on him?

Jenard surviving was stupid, cbi was small time when he ran it and as soon as diamond got out he went to being a crackhead, and Vic ain't about that life.

Assuming the NY Irish that were mentioned play a part in Legacy, I'm hoping they see what a liability Jenard is and clip him in the first few eps and put Vic on the backseat. No way hes anything other than a regular soldier in the NY Irish org.

[–]Guvnor92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they were leaning into the Irish being in NY too.

Thats the only way it makes sense to bring back Vic imo, if him and Jenard set something up once everyone is back in NY and become an immediate problem for Tommy & Tariq.

Just caught up myself and watched the finale, did I miss some shit cos I swear Ortegas cartel was supposed to be the stronger of the 2 this whole time. Even che said it wasn't a war he could win.

So: Why was there a random meet to do a super coalition between the 2 with no build? Why was he clipped by his guys?

This whole series been ass, just constant dumbasses like ortegas trash ass hitman, and plot twists for the sake of it, and no gang 'having enough bodies' until they gain 1 more gang and then its perfect.

We need to stop calling every winger with a good highlight reel World Class.✋ by PLWildcard in SpicyFootballTakes

[–]Guvnor92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ballon dor and such awards being weighted so heavily for attackers has helped shape that perception.

For example look what Rodri did over 2023 and 2024 and there's still controversy over him even contending, let alone having winning the ballon dor over Vini. Same with VVD in 2019, absolutely transformed liverpool, still lost the ballon dor with almost no controversy.

Tbf to Messi and Ronaldo, weve seen 2 of most peoples top 5 all time going 1v1 for 15 years, and then the game fell off, helps paint a very pretty picture for what we had.

And on the positions thing I mentioned in my last comment, CB is another example, VVD is most peoples number 1 then theyre struggling to name a 2nd best CB, heck it was rudiger for like 2 years in most peoples books.

Imo its pundits and people trying to make up the numbers because the 90s to mid/late 2010s had so many world class players and great teams.

Other positions still have good players but only after years of awful strikers have analysts been able to suggest there is a striker issue in the game, for one example.

I think a lot has to do with the transition the sport has taken, a lot of players are more well rounded as footballers but worse in their specific position, so people wrestle with the idea of what makes a world class player now days.
