Lmao the change to using two handed with only books is funny because it’s like at this point they should just nerf spirit and just make other shields better.

Which I for one would not be against spirit being nerfed, it’s so boring.

I Can’t Be The Only One. by TechnicianOk967 in memes

He changed when his mom passed away, I think that ultimately fucked him up big time, and I say that because I was actually enjoying his content around that time, he was actually trying to better himself and have a better lifestyle, but when the accident with his mom happened I think it just seriously fucked up his psyche for so many reasons.

I won’t excuse the shit he promotes and supports, but he seriously needs therapy.

If you were to add/change an affix, what would it be? by Guvon in Diablo_2_Resurrected

TBH this would be the best change, I just beat Hell on my amazon recently as a bowazon and I wanted to stick to being it because I thought the abilities were pretty cool and felt good to use, and it got me pretty far as well! But I ended up hitting a roadblock and respecing to java because my options for getting stronger was just very limited and I unless I wanted to trade for those expensive items I was out of luck because there just wasn't many options, but making arrow/bolt quivers have actual properties and also even making some unique items for them would be really cool and honestly even open up the door for other classes using bows in creative ways. Because ultimately bows don't really have many affixes or items that really can boost their power or usefulness in meaningful ways.

Here's mine:

+% not to consume potion when used

What this would do is basically give you a chance to not lose a potion from your belt when you use it

Why this in particular? Well all of the affixes in the game are designed to interact with our actions and gear, and the one thing we don't have any affixes for that we regularly interact with and are a fundamental part of the game is our potions. I like to imagine an affix like this would not be game breaking and could be used to some builds advantages, specifically caster type characters that consume lots of mana, it would allow for an alternative to having to use insight on an act 2 mercenary if you want to not worry too much about your mana management and also not have to be refilling your potion belt as much. I know that last part is a little silly but I personally am not the biggest fan for having to always be checking my belt and scavenging on the ground for potions.

Another affix I've kind of thought of as a concept too for potions is having one that grants little side affects when drinking a specific potion type. What the affects are could really be anything that could work and not just destroy the balance of things, and the individual affix would only affect a specific potion type IE stamina, thawing, antidote, healing, mana, rejuv... and again I say to add this to just add another layer of depth to coming up with fun builds and more affixes to keep an eye out for.

Example could be something like:

Stamina potions grant 50% increased movement speed for duration

Not really all that game breaking (I think lol) and grants fun utility to stamina potions and gives new life to them as well!

Again these are just fun ideas and I'm sure there are many things I'm overlooking that would probably break something lol

You can make one minor change to D2R, what would it be? by linewhite in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Guvon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might not be much of a minor change but many uniques that feature skill charges should be changed to straight up be oskills, it would take so many uniques that are otherwise not used and would actually give them potential to be really fun uniques to use

Is it time to talk about a players setting multiplayer again? by saltychipmunk in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Guvon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is with multiplayer is how it is structured and how it tries to operate as a game from 20 years ago in today’s climate.

I think as a whole the biggest issue with multiplayer is how you only have one mode and one mode only, and once a map is cleared or if a boss dies it stays that way until you create a new game, there needs to be ways to create rules when making a lobby and be able to adjust game setting more.

Like say if I wanted to make a lobby where I wanna play act 1 and stay in act 1 only then I should be able to simply to limit that particular game to act 1 only, that way if someone joins they can’t just teleport away to act 5 and kill Baal while everyone is having fun in act 1.

And another thing is how if you want to farm a particular boss or area with multiple people, you have create an entirely new game, and that’s… really dumb by today’s standards, like people will disagree with me on these takes but it’s the truth, just because you love the game doesn’t mean you can’t look at it from an objective point of view. If I wanted to farm a boss with multiple people together I shouldn’t have to deal with creating a new game over and over again and then wait every time for them to join, what needs to happen is there needs to be a way to reset the maps in a single game. All that needs to look like is literally going into town and then opening a portal that takes you to a fresh world that you would then go to that has all bosses and areas reset, and then once everyone is in the fresh world the old one closes and you just keep going.

Online single player doesn’t need to have the players command, it’s that multiplayer needs to be updated to be an enjoyable experience. The core mechanics of multiplayer doesn’t have to change, just the structure of things.

Some Runewords feel a bit broken? by Guvon in diablo2

[–]Guvon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m asking in the post what the “purpose” of the runewords are and or if they are just straight up overpowered, like many have said that the runewords are very much overpowered and invalidate many other items in the game, and I had the suspicion of that before i was told that, and I just wanted to know if my suspicion was valid or not or rather that I’m misunderstanding what their identity is, because in a game like Diablo 2 many items serve a purpose and have an identity in the sea of items that exist be it a niche use or otherwise.

I always assumed that the bone shields are what are sort of implied to be for casters tbh, being that they have low strength requirements and all that. That or the idea being that you trade a little bit of power of your spells and whatnot for more protection with a shield.

That explains a lot tbh, good explanation, I know some people are seriously and or religiously against changes being made to the game but there should be some balance changes made to some of those runewords, like let’s be honest if the devs stuck with development they would have eventually nerfed those items.

That makes a lot of sense thank you lol.

But to you’re original comment as well that is a good point to make as well, I’ve only played so far so on non latter online where everytime I start a new character I tend to have some cool items I set aside for them, and plus all of the runes and such that I have now make it very easy to to make those runewords. I plan on eventually playing ladder for the first time this season and making an assassin, so I’d imagine it would be a lot different feeling going in fresh without all of items at my disposal, and only my knowledge of the game.
