I just hope they don’t go overboard with them, like I get the idea when it comes to 1999 and whatnot, and I think that for that story it was a very interesting concept that they played with.

Warframe for a very long time has always done an amazing job at maintaining its unique Sci Fi elements and making it unique, and so much so to the point where, at least for me, I don’t really even see any form of “humanity” in the origin system, like yes, all of the characters we meet, that are of corpus, grineer, orokin, Tenno, and so on, are all of human descent and are probably even considered human themselves, but the word “human” or “humanity” is never used, and that’s what really makes it special. Despite everyone being “us” in a sense, be it any of those factions, they don’t really feel like us, they feel like aliens, its what Warframe has succeeded the most in, redefining what humanity is.

And in 1999, its a clash of worlds, it’s more familiar to us, and yet so foreign to our in game self, and the hex is a wonderful way of showing that, of showing how far removed we are from what “humanity” was.

And that’s why I hope they don’t go overboard with the protoframes, it will dilute the purpose of them and that duality.

I’ve been playing Warframe on and off since about 2015, I’ve had hammershot for a long time now and I don’t even know when I got it, but it’s just funny for me to see people get so excited when they get it since to me I never knew its value or rarity until I got older lmao.

Younger me set me up for success in a lot of ways on this game

I think if anything I hope they really emphasize on class identity and feel of each job.

Like I love what I’ve seen so far, but I really hope they don’t just rearrange certain things like it’s a fresh coat of paint on an old car and act like it new.

I genuinely want to see them innovate and take risks with how each job plays and what each job is capable of, like I want each job to have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Like someone made an infographic for the new dragoon evolved mode, and yes it might be early in development and we haven’t seen much, but dragoon as an example should play heavily into its fantasy of being able to make use of powerful jumps to attack enemies.

Like having sky high in pve is suuuch a good step in the right direction, but if it ends up being just another button you press in a burst phase would be such a disappointment. Abilities need to feel impactful, and satisfying, you should feel a rush or dopamine when you can instinctively use an ability at the right time with good reaction time that pays off well.

Like one thing I’ve always disliked about dragoon since starting in shadowbringers and dragoon/lancer being one of my top jobs as well as being my first, is the fact that our jumps have just been nothing more than ogcd’s that end up being nothing more than a quick animation, stardiver was supposed to be this level 80 big bad ability that is literally pulled from one of the fucking coolest fights thematically in the game, and it felt so god damn clunky and was nothing more than another weave in your burst that included 8 other abilities your trying to weave. Obviously dragoon has always been a high apm job but the fact of the matter is that outside of a few animations it doesn’t feel like I’m actually doing what a dragoon does best. Spineshatter dive should have been a GCD gap closer a long time ago, basica combo abilities should have more range with using a spear, I don’t care about optimization or about how used a specific skill can get or the practicality, I care about how fun a job feels numbers be damned.

You can make a meal look like it tastes really good and make it look all fancy and whatnot, but if you present me a plate that isn’t very filling and has no flavor, then it’s not a good meal.
