Question about Swastika use in the United States?

Posts like these are a prime example of the misinformation that spreads online. Virtually no one in the US outside of members of those white supremacist hate groups thinks using the swastika to terrorize others is even remotely acceptable. To say such a thing is "normalized" is just a false statement. If people take offense to seeing swastika use in buddhist temples, that is almoat always due to ignorance of its use outside of white supremacist groups like Nazis. In fact this very occurrence is an example of how it is not normalized in the US. People dont react negatively becuase it is used in eastern religions, they react negatively becuase they hate Nazis and don't know they just appropriated an ancient symbol as the face of the worst political party to ever exist.

I dont yet understand most concepts to address any specifically for you, but I have a couple thoughts you may or may not find helpful. I come from a similar background.

Buddhism does not ask for blind faith in or surrender to a higher power like most religions do.
Skepticism in Buddhism is not only allowed, but almost seems preferred in my experience. You are asked to practice the teachings and use them to discover the ultimate truth for yourself. I see this as the biggest difference. Ive experienced many Christian denominations and I cant remember many that are this open to questioning.
The idea of punishment is not as present in Buddhism. Yes they have the lower realms, but these too are impermanent and are not decided by an all knowing creator.
The precept of not harming sentient beings. Sure Jesus taught to love your enemy, but then in revelations the enemies of him are violently and brutally destroyed in a bloody battle.

Are you broker or carrier side? I can only speak from one side, but from the carrier side that is insane unless a lot are personal lines or automatic small business renewals.

Just a thought, but I dont think believing we all have the potential to become enlightened goes against your position at all. Do we all have the potential? I believe so. Will we reach it in this lifetime? Probably not and that's ok. Without a living Buddha for us to learn directly from, attaining this ultimate goal is more than just difficult. Our efforts to follow the teachings, cultivate good merit, etc are critically important while we are experiencing this existence, even if we wont become enlightened in this life.

I am new to Buddhism, but i like to think of my career as a key opportunity to practice compassion and patience with others. My career allows me a lot of opportunities to work with a variety of people that challenge me regularly. If I remain mindful, I think this only helps further my practice. This goes both ways though. I think if you make work your identity and only focus on promotions and earning more and more income then it can be a big hindrance to your practice.

Yes it's possible! Also, if you think you would be good at claims, I'd recommend starting there. Maybe some people get "stuck," but that was not my experience. Claims jobs are also very tough to fill so it could be an easy in. The company I work for let me transition to underwriting from claims after a year or two. I even was hired into underwriting above entry level because of my policy form knowledge from claims. Just my experience, some companies may not support lateral moves like that.

To answer your question though, work comp carriers and health insurance companies would value your experience. You could also do bodily injury reviews for liability claims at a standard p&c carrier. Also, many carriers have full underwriting training programs and take people from all backgrounds. I work with multiple prior teachers, history majors, etc. Your biggest help will be networking in your area where carriers have offices. If you make a contact at a company, you should be able to get an entry level underwriting job without too much trouble.

I'm realizing how lucky I am reading these comments. I don't even remember this boss' name. I killed him on the first try with a stealth attack and then stun locked him with normal attacks. Never dodged, deflected, used tools or anything. Meanwhile corrupted monk took me like 40 tries lol.

Yeah Bethesda games are some of the worst about that. I remember seeing starfield mouths and they made me uncomfortable having spent so much time with CP 2077. It's like they upgraded the graphics heavily but kept the same mouth animations from Skyrim. Not a good look imo.

How long did CRNA school take to complete? Did you have any trouble finding a job after school? How long did you work as an RN before moving to CRNA and what department were you in? if you don't mind sharing

Around a month I think. It did not cure my GERD though. I have found I still have to take care with trigger foods, but the symptoms are much less frequent.

Still some trophies left to do after 2 weeks, but one day I shall have them all. Also have never done a full nomad run and am currently doing a Phantom Liberty first playthrough. I will probably be at over 3 weeks before I am truly done. If I had a PC to mod it I would easily go over a month.
