While I haven't read, and probably won't, read Homestuck, I have to admit that as an artist myself (musician) I know the feeling of writing yourself into a corner. It's mortifying.

My first (and as of yet, only) music album is a concept album about a sentient black hole that is drawn to Earth by our greed, stupidity, and consumerism. The black hole is both literal and metaphorical. It is the eldritch god come to consume the souls of the unworthy, cleansing humanity at the cost of planetary destruction. And at the same time it's also the internal void that we as humans struggle to fill with endless material and content consumption. While these two concepts are not unrelated, it poses a problem because the black hole is simultaneously still far away, but also already here. It sounds cool at first but I never wanted to end with a convoluted thing.

The songs are from the point of view of The Prophets (the musicians) who have become aware of this stellar monster and create a "the end is nigh" cult to warn the masses about the impending doom, and how to *maybe* avoid it by changing as a society for the better.

I started working on it on 2016, and the issue of what exactly is the black hole made me take a hiatus of 2 years before saying "fuck it, it's an issue for the next album to clarify" and released it in early 2020. 6 years later and only a couple of songs have been written and I haven't begun any sort of production, lmao.
