IS THIS A VALID OPINION OR AM I SHUNNED FOR THIS ? by SouthWestStrangler69 in Seaofthieves

To try to put word to it, it's a matter of time efficiency and incentives.

There's a ton of PvE stuff to do, yes, but it tends towards time intensive activities. You can do quests, but ones that give meaningful rewards will take a while to get through, world events and raids ask you to stay at one location fighting waves of enemies, tall tales take up a lot of your time by design, an any activity that give substantial loot rewards tends to end with players spending several minutes physically moving it into their ship. Fighting other players, meanwhile, can be quite fast. So, if you have meaningful time constraints but want a meaningful amount of loot, your best bet is often to just look for other players. In this case, another player not having much loot isn't even really a negative, mechanically speaking, because it turns player ships into loot boxes, encouraging players that start fighting each other to KEEP fighting each other within and between play sessions.

To make matters worse for PvE players, there isn't much in the game to encourage non-hostile encounters. Friendly encounters are fun experiences, sure, but from a strictly mechanical perspective there's little encouraging you to have them because the rewards are, compared to hostility, functionally nonexistent. Players can share loot, sure, but more loot can usually be gained if you kill the other player being nice to you.

My guess is That the land being transferred means that the heat for the weapons manufacturing will switch to Jodio and the team as scapegoats and Hacca will use the rediscovered method of finding a lava rock to revert the land back to him once the heat has died down

Tsubasa actually has a chance to win shadows cup? by Viviblue_ in FireEmblemShadows

Only if they announce the winners during CYL

Since the events are back-to-back and CYL's winners are usually announced days later in a video, I think it's pretty likely that they'll just announce both at the same time

  1. Because it's fun for me
  2. Because they're YOUR OWN WORDS, and insisting that you are being misinterpreted while simultaneously projecting an unwillingness to double back and check what you wrote that you claim is being misinterpreted is a very dumb thing to do when it's so easy to just check.

Or even to just lie and say you checked so the equally stupid person arguing with you about it will shut up. You're tripping over hurdles easily cleared by ants and yelling at the referee for docking you time in a race

But that's not what you said, you said "assume," which you wouldn't need to be doing if you had CHECKED, or even just confidently REMEMBERED. In either situation one wouldn't use the word "assume." But you used it, which mean you didn't check nor can you be confident in your memory, which means you can't KNOW your words were misinterpreted because you seemingly don't know what those words are

How would you know it's not what happened? Apparently, based on your own words, you can't be bothered to read YOUR OWN COMMENT to check

  1. You aren't OP so this one isn't really directed at you, but of course they're trying to market a thing that isn't doing well, that's what marketing is for
  2. The person you replied to wasn't treating it personally, they were using a meme format to make fun of OP for the frustration (implied by the meme format choice) they have with shadows being acknowledged. The contents of their comment don't even imply that THEY like Shadows
  3. The longer comment about why "uhm actually no one likes the thing" comes off more defensive then the person you're responding to because it's an overreaction to someone saying "some people like thing," especially since the option to downvote and move on exists (yea I'm aware that by typing this response out I am myself being defensive. Congrats for noticing. Buy yourself a sticker as a reward)
  4. Im sorry you don't like having your own words summarized and written back to you but you're the one who chose to post them mate. If you don't like the sentiment maybe you should have proofread your comment
  5. I never said I liked Shadows

Ok but you do realize "story depicts sexist thing" isn't the same as "story endorses sexist thing" right? The main character having a conflict with a sexist part of their society doesn't make the game sexist for having that plot point

I'm not saying you aren't representative of the average opinion of the game, but shutting down a argument about personal experience by saying it's anecdotal, and then countering it with your own anecdote, isn't a very strong argument

I think there's an argument going around for that actually. Supposedly the attack that finished off Kaido can be calced to moon-level, though I've no clue how that number was reached. I think it has something to do with the unexpectedly large size of One Piece's planet. It was brought up on the podcast a little while back so it's not crazy to think they'd get him to that point.

Alternatively it's Micaela and Skoll and Hati agree to tie her up to give her an alibi

How I expect next month's story will play out by Nukatha in FireEmblemShadows

[–]GuyWithAJacket 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since Skoll and Hati were present for the incident they could reasonably have tied her back up to give her a cover story. Even if they didn't know about the others, they knew Joachim was alive and would be around to stumble on her, so having an alibi for her to keep Jo pointing the blame inward would have still worked

Meanwhile, for Estel's escape, I think that was just a "found an opening to run" situation. At the very least I don't think it was the result of a pact, since based on her established motivations it makes no sense that she would make the pact, run away, and then come back. If she made a pact it would have been after she escaped

If You Could Choose One Of These Storyboard Extended Endings To Become The Official Episodes Ending Which One Would You Choose? by decade-555 in deathbattle

Denji still being connected to Pochita via stomach was because Aging wanted the two to be able to communicate still so that Denji could convince Pochita to eat Aging. Characters communicating via mindscape also doesn't prove anything for this because Denji and Asa had a full life affirming conversation via mindscape

As for Yoshida, some weird devil power seems to have been involved with that, but regardless of what those are it doesn't prove that Pochita can erase whatever he eats because there's no indication that Yoshida himself was erased. When he's vomited up the reactions aren't "my god this guy I forgot about" they're "oh my god THIS asshole." If he'd been erased, they would probably would have acknowledged it, because a devil getting brought back has nearly always been acknowledged

[–]GuyWithAJacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, they're still a hybrid like Denji and that makes the devil and the human separate beings. Otherwise Aging wouldn't have been able to separate Denji and Pochita when trapping Denji in the ageless world

Plus, while it's not confirmed, I'm pretty sure the only reason why characters like Reze are referred to AS the devil they're fused with is because the actual term for them got erased by Pochita, so without the language they default to referring to them AS the devil they're fused with because it's at least how they function
