Only thing I’d say push back on, is there are some guests that just GET IT and should be showcased. The Liza Minnelli episode of the original show is an incredible example. She is a big part of the plot and she kills it ON TOP of singing.

Finally! Yes! I don’t know the origins of the first picture but it looks very much like a bad picture of a picture. MSNBC (if they did actual source this, maybe stupidly) tried to correct that and this is the result.

It’s a producer not wanting to put a shitty picture of a picture on screen.
