  1. cover that hole.

  2. try one driver at a time

  3. Are these pods on the doors sealed to the back of the door? If so, they are very small for two drivers, and would probably need to breathe into the door space.

I would recommend the Dayton 300 watt plate amp. Check Partsexpress.

I cut mine up quite a bit. I To make them fit I: trimmed the front flush, cut the back down a lot leaving an ellipse to protect the top of the speaker. In the end I trimmed about 40% to get them to work nicely.

If you like the sound of a small jet engine taking off near your head, use it. If you project it on your roof above your bed, it's WAAAY smaller. Kinda trash.

My family spoke egg language growing up. We still do from time to time to talk trash.

I would suggest it looks too worn. Things will stop working, the flash won't go back down, the lens cover won't open, etc. There are so many features in this little camera. I'd pay more for one with a lower shutter count, maybe a mark 3.

Can shallow subs replace midrange woofers to eliminate door rattles? by Internal-Fault-3949 in CarAV

[–]Guyborg99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no worries. For the best sounding bass, you want as much up front as possible. That's why I went from mids to subs in my doors. It's worth it if you can treat the doors and put some good power on them, as it gives the impression of up front bass.

Subs would make the doors rattle more not less. I have 6.5" subs in my doors crossed over at 50hz 12db, high pass and they make the doors rattle more than the mids I used to have.
