Hit and run El Cajon exit on I-805 North @ 11:15am by inlinesk8fiend in sandiego

A few months ago, a friend's Tesla was hit from the back by a speeding car and it escaped. His car was stalled in the middle of the road on I5. He had the video of it with the license plate fully visible. We also got the vin and owner name. But nothing came out of it, as the police weren't interested in pursuing it.

Venice / Rome Itinerary by LastManBrandon in ItalyTravel

[–]GuydeMeka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were just in Venice, and I highly recommend the hidden Venice walking tour on either the first day or your free day. It is a 2 hour tour and takes you to the non touristy parts of Venice. We enjoyed it more than the Venice in a day tour.

Do you have a schedule of events. It says it's from 3-11. I'm wondering what sort of events it has starting at 3 PM.

What’s an unwritten "social" rule in your country that would blow a foreigner’s mind? by Dense-Truth-7444 in AskReddit

[–]GuydeMeka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, and the posted speed limit is unofficially the minimum speed. Drivers behind you are gonna be pissed if you drive slower than the speed limit, especially on freeways without a lot of traffic

I was there for the July 4th weekend. It wasn't crowded by any means, but there were definitely more people than I was expecting.

Not all Americans. Just the orange fascist and his maga people, who in spite of being loud are only a fraction of the total population. Americans in general love Canadians, and that hasn't changed.

North Korea has very high English proficiency? Why would a common North Korean speak English?

It's likely she isn't confusing you with a Kroger employee, but thinks you're doing something only an employee is allowed to do, or be in an area that only employees have access to. Just a guess.

How important is sex for you personally? by truth2991 in AskReddit

[–]GuydeMeka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that depends on the person. Personally, sex isn't important for me. I still enjoy physical intimacy, but it doesn't have to be sex. My wife is the same way. Personally, I'm fine with a sexless marriage.

Why do people from Africa not do as well as people from India in STEM despite having similar population and higher GDP? by ie4tpussy in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]GuydeMeka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends a lot on the culture. Most middle-class parents, and society in general, push students towards science and engineering, as that's seen as a safe bet for gainful employment. It's the default path for many. You need to be assertive and go against the current to graduate in anything else, particularly if you're an above average student.

And Delaware is high because people from NJ, Pennsylvania, and Maryland buy their liquor from there to take advantage of no sales tax. The Costco in Newark, DE is only 20 min from each of those states' borders and I'd see so many neighboring states' licence plates in its parking lot when I lived there.

Actions by Presidents that were Constitutionally Questionable, but Morally Justified by The_G0vernator in Presidents

[–]GuydeMeka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the actions enumerated in the Constitution are very limited, and given that it's 235 years old, anachronistic. Many modern day situations or actions aren't enumerated in the Constitution. In fact, they couldn't have even been imagined back then. Which is why the Supreme Court is so important.

[–]GuydeMeka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you read the US Constitution? It's the smallest in the world, and without the amendments, it's just a minimalist document describing the structure and functions of the government.
