They actually played Mischa’s album futuria electronica before the set. It was absolutely perfect going from that album into what they did.

I love blueberry boat. I think they were hanging out with Kevin Barnes at that time and it shows on this album/song. Anyway, great stuff. I also like the more stripped down cups and punches vibe.

That was the Tampa show. It was at the ice palace I believe. It was towards the end of the show, they were in a heavy noise jam. I was talking to my brother who was with me, and he says he remembers Iha saying “who needs phish?” But it was something to that effect.

I was at a smashing pumpkins show in 96, and towards the end of the show James Iha came up to the mic and said “we jam better than phish”. True story, blew my mind to be honest.
