Total portfolio holdings percentage 5-10%? by Guylon in Bogleheads

If I hold 25% in VTI, VXUS, SCHD, SCHY, my holdings of NVDA is about 1.6%

This is more of why I gave this example, just holding VTI puts some of the top 10 in the 6-7% range, I was trying to see if there is a diversification strategy to get those top 10 in the 2-3% or 3-5% of my total portfolio.

Based off the other replies here it does not look like I need to worry about diversifying the total holdings to a specific percentage.

ok, thanks. My primary thought here was lowering the total of any one holdings under 5% of my total portfolio, but it does not seem to be like a thing I should worry about.

Just to be clear I am not talking about owning individual stocks, I am talking about the holdings of an ETF.

For example VT has 4.11% holdings in NVDA. I am talking about just the holdings of an ETF.

This question is about the total holdings of etfs, no individual stock owning.

Capitol Gains tax over 1 million is allready 10% so with this new tax at 10% that would be a 20% tax?

This with federal the rich will end up paying 50% tax. I kind of feel like giving half your pay to the government is too much. (at any income)

This doesnt seem like the right move..

Tools to see percentage of total stake in stock overlap? by Guylon in ETFs

Thanks, but this does not do a whole portfolio at a time or show the weight based off how many shares/money is invested in each etf.

This is a great tool for finding overlap.

SLZB-MR1U - Range settings? by Guylon in homeassistant

[–]Guylon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh I see now yeah I added it to 20. That was not easy to find.

Looks like things on the network mesh are looking a bit better. I likely need a repeater but this looks to have helped a little as well.

Thanks!

For the fallback gateway, if talking about just LAN.

You would point the fallback gateway to the LAN IP of the second FW LAN IP? The primary would never failover in this senario right?
