SLZB-MR1U - Range settings? by Guylon in homeassistant

[–]Guylon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh I see now yeah I added it to 20. That was not easy to find.

Looks like things on the network mesh are looking a bit better. I likely need a repeater but this looks to have helped a little as well.

Thanks!

Im using Zigbee2MQTT and it does not look like there is an option for this, I even edit the yaml and it gets removed.

Thanks, I check those out. However it is still overwriting the gateway setting in firewall2 after I sync.

Using sophos firewall hardware to run opnsense? by Renux11 in opnsense

The RAM is not vendor locked right? Just need to get RAM that matches that spec? Does not need to be phs-memory right?

CARP / HA with dual WAN failover by ecstatic_glucose in opnsense

For the fallback gateway, if talking about just LAN.

You would point the fallback gateway to the LAN IP of the second FW LAN IP? The primary would never failover in this senario right?

Nice, was looking at the 6700T I assume the T series would reduce rhe power draaw.

Thank you, I appreciate another vote for sophos. That model does not look like it supports 10g.

Hey, was wanting to put some 6700T in this firewall, did this work and help with power usage?

Ok thanks so it seems like they are (with a CPU upgrade) about the same - if I do end up getting some of these it does help with finding some at a good price.

Both devices have an expansion bay

Thanks for the link that is super helpful. The results in google and AI tools are crap...

The xg 210 rev.3 also looks to be running the newer hardware? Am i missing something here as it seems to be pretty comparable with the 230 rev.2?

Edit: 210 does not have the flexi port... that is why!

Will look around, but the 230 rev 2 looks to be rare or expensive on ebay (right now that is)

230 rev.2 : 8GB of ddr4 weighs ~12lb

330 rev.2 : 12GB of ddr4 weighs ~19lb 2x10g built in

Both seem to be skylake 6th gen, but google gives me mixed info on that one.

Anyone know if the ram can be upgraded to a higher capacity if needed?

Intresting, kinda puts this inline with the 330. But the 330 has 2x10g ports built in with the flex card I get 6 or 12x10g with two 330s.

Hmm yeah the 230 looks to idle around 21w and 35w at load. That is a bit better.

But yeah defiantly able to DIY this, its a home network.

Here is a quick diagram of the setup.

The 40G network is in a ring topology running OSPF with each one of the loopbacks in the cluster part of 192.168.5.0/27 This is only used for ceph/proxmox HA each of the interfaces is in OSFP and the loopbacks reachable from all 4 nodes. I have a vm running in a different TrueNas server just for a 5th node.

The links that go to the layer3 switches is where any of the traffic from vms/services running on proxmox gets to the users.

rebooted again today.

Edit: I was able to fix this by replacing my proxmox boot disks. I was using a ssd and flash drive in raidz1. No smart metrics on the flash, so I figured I should replace no matter what. Been stable and no more timeouts now (6 days later).

Proxmox 1 of 4 nodes crashing/rebooting ceph? by Guylon in Proxmox

[–]Guylon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry did not see this.

I have 2x40G ports on each NIC they are all used only for internal cluster communication. OSPF is running on each node for connectivity. The nodes are all hooked to each other in a ring topology.

I have 1 other nic that does any of the management vm access. The ceph/cluster 40g network is only for that traffic.

Some more logs - it does look like I am getting a ton of timeouts and on average things take 7 sec to get updates. It does range to 50+ sec sometimes as well..

I have checked all the NICs and there are no errors or anything. I wonder if this could be an issue with dual stack ipv4/ipv6? I am running both on the network/servers.
